Disney World Rides Are Having a TOUGH Week

Disney World rides have been down a lot recently.

We’re not just talking about the permanent closure of Splash Mountain. We’ve seen multiple rides down over the past few days, which, as you may expect, affects wait times for other rides. So how should you navigate days like that in Disney World?

First, knowing WHEN to ride attractions could help you out. We often see the shortest waits at the very beginning of park opening and just before park close. If you aren’t planning on purchasing Genie+ for your group, this might be your best strategy.

However, purchasing Genie+ could be your best bet in the long run. We’re still seeing some long-ish waits for the most popular rides, and if those are your priority, Genie+ will save you a LOT of time.

It’s also important to be flexible. Rides go down, and as we mentioned, that will increase wait times for other rides. Have a backup plan ready, just in case your must-dos aren’t available.

We’ll give you an idea of what we’re talking about. Here are yesterday’s wait times for January 24th — a total of 20 rides went down throughout various times of the day.
