There’s a lot of construction going on at Disney World, as work continues on tons of projects that are coming in the future, and we are beyond excited!

Among the many construction projects are two new lands coming to Magic Kingdom, which are Villains Land and Piston Peak. We’ve seen a little bit of work done on Villains Land, but a lot more done on Piston Peak. It’s also a lot easier to see the work done on Piston Peak, since you can walk right past it. Well, we walked right past the construction recently, and we want to update you!
Although we haven’t seen anything really placed yet, there was a lot of groundwork to be done on Piston Peak since what previously stood there was Tom Sawyer Island. Right now, there is still a lot of dirt being moved, but it’s wild to see how much progress has been made on the ground.

Also, the drainage pipes look staged for installation, which is pretty exciting. It doesn’t hit you how much needs to be done on the ground before working on building the land until you actually see it.

Now that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is open, it’s so much easier to have a great vantage point to see into the area behind the walls. It’s like a little behind-the-scenes peek every time you’re in line or on the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness!

We’re still waiting on some information on what the new Cars-themed land will bring in full detail. We know that one of the attractions featured will be an off-road style ride similar to Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure. However, that doesn’t give us much!
