REVIEW: One of Our Favorite Disney World Restaurants Offers Take-Out, and We Couldn't Ask for More

You might be surprised to know that not a lot of Disney World hotels offer room service. Even at the deluxe resorts, it’s not a standard perk.

However, one deluxe hotel offers the next best thing. Let’s get into everything you need to know about the Steakhouse 71 To Go Dining!

Steakhouse 71 is a popular restaurant and lounge located at the Contemporary Resort. They are known for their amazing steak and delicious sides. However, sometimes after a day in the parks, a nice meal sounds great, but sitting down for a long meal does not.

Which is why we love that Steakhouse 71 offers a To Go option. This allows you to order menu items directly from the mobile order section of the My Disney Experience App and then pick them up from the restaurant when they are ready. So, with this offering, you can order food to take back to relax and eat in your room.

On our last Contemporary stay, we ordered the 10-oz New York Strip with Charred Asparagus and Whipped Horseradish Cream for $38 To Go.

And we were pleasantly surprised that the To Go quality did not vary greatly from what you could expect from your in-restaurant meal. The steak was well-cooked and medium rare, although the seasoning could have been stronger. Although the asparagus were slightly undercooked, given their thick size.

The Horseradish Cream really helped to tie all the flavors together and helped to add some needed flavor to the steak. When we picked up the order, it was very well packaged, and overall, we had an amazing experience using this service.

While we do wish that Disney offered room service, especially at some of their more premier hotels, this was a fun offering, and it was cool to eat a Steakhouse 71 meal in our room!
