Epic Universe has been open for over a year, and we’re still learning new things each trip!

One thing that has been consistent for Epic Universe is the rules that you need to know before you hit the park. Between weather policy and unwritten rules, these are five important ones to make note of before heading to Universal’s newest park.
No Drinking in Monster Makeup
We’ve seen a lot of strange theme park rules in our time, but this one is unique to Epic Universe.

Nothing will ruin your day at the park faster than becoming dehydrated. So do yourself a favor and start drinking water even before heading to the park to stay ahead of it!
Epic Universe Just Solved My Biggest Theme Park Problem
No Refunds
Florida weather is chaotic. One second it’s sunny, the next you’re caught in a thunderstorm. Universal’s policy? Admission is non-refundable, no matter the weather. That’s right — no rain checks, no exchanges, and no exceptions. If it pours, the rides may close temporarily, but your ticket is still used up. So if your Epic Universe day ends up being a washout, you’ll need to be flexible.

We always recommend checking the weather forecast (as much as you can in Florida) and packing a poncho just in case. Some of the attractions will be unaffected by the weather.
You’ll Need a Locker
Like the other Universal parks, you’ll need to store your items in a locker before an attraction. Any loose items or bags should be stored in the locker for safety.

But gone are the days of trying to remember a PIN for your locker. At Epic Universe, the Stardust Racers lockers use facial recognition tech. Here’s how it works: press a button, let the camera scan your face, and boom — the system assigns you a locker. After the ride, you’ll go to the back side of the locker bank, get scanned again, and if everything matches, the door opens.

You Need Comfortable Shoes
As we said earlier, Epic Universe is massive. That means lots of walking across the park, in between attractions. All that walking can make anyone’s feet hurt, so comfortable shoes are a must here.

A supportive shoe can make all the difference in your day. You don’t want to be dealing with blisters while on vacation, so be sure to wear comfortable, broken-in shoes.

We’re here to bring you all the latest Epic Universe news to help you make sure you have the best trip possible, so stay tuned to AllEars!
