Disney+ Just Got a MASSIVE Upgrade

Hey Disney+ subscribers! In case you missed it, Disney’s streaming service just got a whole lot better!

Starting today, select Hulu subscribers can now link their Hulu profiles to Disney+. This means you can bring over your Hulu watch history, watchlist, and recommendations into Disney’s streaming platform. Let’s take a look at more details!

Hulu viewers can now easily pick up where they left off and enjoy the depth of content of Hulu and Disney+.  If you have Hulu through the bundle subscription, you can link your profile by downloading the Disney+ app (if you haven’t already) or visiting disneyplus.com. Sign in with the same MyDisney login you use for Hulu. After that, you’ll be prompted to link your Hulu profile to an existing Disney+ profile.

Once you’ve linked your profile, you can personalize it by choosing from a collection of avatars from both Hulu and Disney. There’s a wide variety, so there are tons of Disney favorites to choose from.

Linking your 18+ profile will be available to eligible Disney+, Hulu Bundle, and Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Bundle subscribers in the coming days. It will then become available to all bundle subscribers later this year.

Once you’ve linked your profile, you’ll be able to see your personalized watch history and recommendations from both Disney+ and Hulu content. Hulu also has its own dedicated Hub on Disney+, which you’ll find on the top navigation bar. Any movies and shows you’ve been watching on Hulu previously will still appear in the “Continue Watching” section of Disney+.

Soon, a new feature will begin testing on Disney+, which will be a new Live Guide for subscribers to easily find live content live — similar to cable TV. It will include streams like ABC News Live and Disney+ Playtime for all Disney+ users and ESPN networks for entitled ESPN Unlimited subscribers. Hulu features such as Live TV and add-ons are still available in the Hulu app and will be coming to Disney+ in the future.

If you have a Hulu subscription but NOT a Disney+ subscription, you can still sign in to Disney+ using the same MyDisney login that you use for Hulu. You can then stream Hulu content in the Disney+ app at no additional cost or change to your subscription plan. You just need to have an eligible Hulu subscription!
