I visited as a solo traveler. I was seated in a back room that was primarily intended for large/private groups. They had crammed two two-top tables into the space up against a wall where you could see nothing except the large table that dominated the room. I was not able to enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant which is really the only reason to spend $60 on lunch there. After placing my order, I did not see my server again until he brought my check. All this while there were plenty of tables in the main dining room. No apology from the server or any other staff. Skipped dessert. Just wanted the bad experience to end.
Pros:
Food was actually good.Cons:
Service was nonexistent.Reviewed by disneydiner Review Date: 01/15/2026

I visited WDW in late-October and stayed at Beach Club Villas. The location made it easy for me to walk over to The Cake Bake Shop and enjoy two meals here. This is going to be a combined review of two nice meals. My friend and I enjoyed lunch here. We had a super nice and funny cast mate wait on us and she shared a lot of menu info and a lot of opinions which we appreciated. My friend enjoyed her Cobb Salad and it was a beautiful salad. I'd like to try it on a future visit. I ordered the burger because to me a good burger is a thing of joy. I thought the $3 additional charge for a slice of cheese was a bit much (for a $28 burger) but ... The burger was good and I liked the sauce on it. We topped off our lunch with cake slices-Red Velvet for her and Raspberry for me. Both delicious and both of us took some back to our hotels in doggie bags for a second dessert for tomorrow. I rated our lunch at 8. Three days later I turned for breakfast and I enjoyed this meal the most (I'm rating my dinner here in October as #2 and my lunch as #3). The orange French toast and sausage were delicious as was the cappuccino. Can't wait to come back for breakfast I October. Another great cast member took care on me, informative and attentive. A great experience. A special place to dine. And the Pink lady margarita is so good!
Pros:
I think Breakfast was the best value price-wise. The place was beautifully decorated for fall. The bakery next door had wonderful offerings to take away if you don't want a sit-down meal.Cons:
No cons-I acquaint myself with the menus before I make my reservations so I know what to expect cost-wise.Reviewed by disneydiner Review Date: 10/06/2025

I had the pleasure of having dinner here in May and it was a lovely experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful and draped in pretty floral garlands. My waiter, Jacob, explained the menu to me and answered all my questions. I ordered a margarita and smiled when it was served-the pink color matched the waiters vests! My chicken piccata with lemon pasta was delicious. Jacob stopped by often to visit and to see if I needed anything. I really wanted to try the cake for dessert but just couldn't eat another bite so I took a piece of the Millionaire's Cake back to the hotel with me. Before I left, I told Jacob I'd be back on my next trip and asked him if I should try breakfast or lunch. He said lunch. I asked the same question of the young man who seated me and he said breakfast. So that gave me two reasons to return. I have an October reservation for lunch and I'm sure I'll be back after that to try breakfast. The atmosphere, the service, the food and the drink were great. And I got two days of dessert from that large piece of cake-so yummy. Biggest decision for October will be which cake to try next!
Pros:
Surroundings, food and drink, waitstaff. I don't mind paying higher prices for my meal if it's worth it and this meal was.Cons:
Prices are high but if you really want a lovely treat, try Cake Bake Shop!Reviewed by bunchkinsmum Review Date: 07/25/2025

I went here in January 2025 during a girls' trip with my two sisters. This was our \"first night at Disney\" celebration dinner. We knew this was a pricey choice going in, but we were absolutely enchanted from start to finish! The restaurant was still decked out in Christmas finery, and we could hardly stop taking pictures of the lovely decorations, especially the rotating display above the gazebo. All the staff we interacted with were delightful and friendly. Since some of our party are on weight loss meds, we let them know ahead of time that we would not all be ordering entrees and they were perfectly fine with that and made great suggestions accordingly. The truffle fries were absolutely delicious, as was the croque monsieur and the pasta dish we ordered. We split two desserts between the three of us and it was plenty! Both that we tried (a chocolate cake and a piece of pie) were wonderful! This was a great choice for a first night celebratory meal.
Pros:

price is a bit high, even for WDWReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 03/30/2025

We went to the CakeBakeShop for breakfast. Had banana bread, waffles and eggs. The food was good, service was both friendly and competent and the atmosphere was like a little fancy fairytale land. It was our last Disney meal of our trip and we were a little tired of restaurant food and this did not taste like mass produced restaurant food.. it tasted satisfying. My 22 year old son said it was his favorite meal of the trip even if it was “just eggs”.. I loved the little to go bag and use it to take my lunch to work.. a sweet(free) daily reminder of our trip and our meal. Yes, it was pricey but we’d go back

Went for dinner, and this place is beautiful. No question. The Christmas decorations are phenomenal. But, dinner. Did not go well. Going in we knew it would be expensive and knew the prices. I didn’t mind that it’s Disneyworld. But I mind paying for rude wait staff. I mind paying for food that was mediocre at best and waiting for it to be served lukewarm was ridiculous. We were so put off by these things we will not be going back. We didn’t even do dessert or consider it. The waitress ( yes not Cm, they make it clear this is not Disney). Pushes heavy to buy expensive waters first then followed by wines…. But we don’t drink. And they only have basic sodas. She didn’t mention or offer teas or lemonades.,, Also it was freezing in there. Warm outside and I needed a coat it was so cold. Never saw anyone other than then waitress. No management in sight. Gave the 3 for the pretty decorations.
