Why Disneyland Will Be PACKED On A Random Thursday This August

The D23 Expo is just around the corner, and with it comes D23 Day at Disneyland!

D23 Day is a celebration at Disneyland Resort for the upcoming D23 Expo in Anaheim. It returns on August 13th, bringing Disney fans together for imagination, storytelling, and fandom. It all happens the day before D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event begins on August 14th.

D23 Day at Disneyland Resort is open to everyone with a valid theme park admission for that day. Whether you’re attending the D23 Expo or not, the celebration is for everyone. During this one-day event, all guests visiting Disneyland Resort can discover themed moments and fan-favorite experiences that celebrate the worlds of Disney.

As soon as your day starts, guests entering either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure will get a complimentary Mickey Mouse ear hat featuring the D23 Day at Disneyland Resort logo. They are limited while supplies last, so you’ll want to rope drop.

There’s also the Disney Legends Cavalcade, happening at Disneyland Park at 1:30 PM. The show will feature 23 characters as they make their way down Main Street, U.S.A., with the Disneyland Band and select Disney Legends.

There will also be exclusive entertainment offerings like dance parties and character sightings. Over at Tomorrowland Terrace from 2 PM to 6 PM, boogie down with Stitch and some of his friends at “Stitch’s Interplanetary Beach Party Bash.” Then check out the “Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Dance Party” from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM.

There will also be exclusive photo op spots, as well as complimentary unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos. So, make sure you’re capturing memories during your visit on D23 Day.

Of course, what’s a celebration without exclusive food and merchandise?! We’ve heard about some of the treats and drinks that are coming, and we can’t wait to try them. We also already have our eyes set on the new Hatbox Ghost Popcorn Bucket that will be available that day.

Also, a limited number of fans may have the opportunity to attend the live performance of “Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration” at California Adventure. This spectacular performance brings together the largest gathering of Disney Princess talent ever assembled, celebrating the iconic stories across animation, live-action, stage, and music. Attendance will be limited and may require additional steps.
