REVIEW: Fairy Bread and Fruity Drinks — NEW Bluey Treats Just Dropped in Disney World

Disney World officially has Bluey fever now that Bluey’s Wild World has come to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Bluey items are at Animal Kingdom!

That means everyone is trying to get in that virtual queue to visit Bluey at Conservation Station to take part in interactive games with Bluey and Bingo, as well as see kangaroos and wallabies, which are native to Bluey’s home country of Australia. However, we’re also eating all the new Bluey snacks in Animal Kingdom, so here’s our review!

Over at Pizzafari, you can get Fairy Bread Cake, which is based on a popular Australian treat, Fairy Bread (which is generally bread slathered with butter with sprinkles). This version of the treat is a Vanilla Birthday Cake dipped in White Chocolate and Rainbow Sprinkles with Raspberry Dipping Sauce for $5.19.

Fairy Bread Cake

This reminds us of the inside of a classic vanilla cake pop, which is going to be a huge hit for young kids. As for the adult palette, it is incredibly sweet. This comes with the very thick and delicious Rasbeck sauce. We would advise small bites of the cake with copious amounts of the raspberry in order to limit the sweetness overload. Kids will absolutely go nuts over this if they like vanilla cake pops!

This was so sweet!

You can also pick up the Wackadoo Fruit Freeze, made with Simply Fruit Punch, garnished with Fruit Salad.  It’s $6.79. This tasted like frozen fruit punch and is very fruit-forward. It has a pleasant taste that is light and fruity and incredibly refreshing.

The fruit included is honeydew and melon, and is very welcoming in an otherwise moderately sweet drink. This is great for a hot day!

This was delicious!

Another drink available here and at Eight Spoon Cafe is Bluey’s Berry Lemonade for $6.79. This drink is made with Frozen Minute Maid Lemonade blended with flavors of Blueberry, Blackberry, and Raspberry. Bluey’s Berry Lemonade.

Bluey’s Berry Lemonade

This is tart and refreshing and tastes like a classic lemonade in a slushy form. The toppings are largely sugar, so they add a lot of sweetness. True fans of lemonade may not like the addition of a sugary sprinkle-like topping. Overall, this was a good treat for a hot day, but not something we would rush back to have again. The Wacakdoo fruit freeze is a more different treat that we would choose over this one.

Take a look at this!

We also headed over to Isle of Java to get the Pretzel’s Pretzels for $15.99. These are soft mini pretzels with homemade cheese and blueberry-mustard sauces.

Pretzel’s Pretzels

Unfortunately, there are some inconsistencies in the pretzels. We were expecting little pillows of goodness, which were on the bottom row of pretzels received. However, the top row was a little crunchy, almost like a crouton, which was unfortunate. It’s probably because they have been sitting in a heat-controlled oven or warmer, and so the bottom tier is much more protected from air.

Look at the little pretzels!

The blueberry barbecue sauce is very interesting. It is tangy, and there is a hint of barbecue in it, and you definitely taste the blueberry.

Dip it in the sauce!

We wish there were a tiny bit more mustard or a different kind of mustard because it’s very sweet. However, if you dip a smaller portion of a pretzel in it, we think it’s much better than if you go for it and really dip it. The queso was our favorite dip between the two, but the barbecue sauce would be amazing on chicken.

You need to dip it!

It’s a good time to be a Bluey fan in Disney World. We’ll keep you updated on all things Bluey here at AllEars, so check back soon for more.
