5 Things We’re Literally Begging Disney Adults To Stop Doing in Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom deserves better, and honestly, so do you.

Animal Kingdom

Between major construction updates, brand-new experiences like Bluey’s Wild World, and a safari ride that requires your full attention, there’s never been a better time to rethink some of the habits we keep seeing in the park. Here are five things we’re (lovingly) asking Disney adults to leave behind on their next visit.

Buying Lightning Lane Multi Pass

We know, we know. Old habits die hard. But with the amount of construction currently happening across Animal Kingdom, the attraction lineup is noticeably thinner than usual right now.

Construction at Animal Kingdom

Most guests can realistically knock out the big-ticket rides without shelling out extra money, especially if you rope-drop smartly and move efficiently through the park. Save your budget for a Nomad Lounge drink and a Dole Whip instead.

Ignoring the “Do Not Feed” Signs

This one should be obvious, but somehow it still happens way too often. Animal Kingdom isn’t just a theme park. It’s a living, breathing conservation space with real animals whose diets are carefully controlled.

Don’t Feed the Animals

Tossing them your leftover popcorn or snacks isn’t harmless. It can actually make them sick or disrupt their behavior in ways that affect their long-term care. Cast Members take this seriously for a reason, and honestly, so should we. Respecting the animals is part of what makes this park special in the first place.

Standing Up on Kilimanjaro Safaris

If you’ve been on Kilimanjaro Safaris, you already know the ride can get a little bumpy. That’s part of the charm.

What’s not part of the charm is someone deciding they need to stand up mid-ride to get a better view. Not only does this slow everything down when the driver has to stop and address it, but it’s also a safety issue. The vehicles aren’t designed for guests to be moving around, and sudden stops happen more often than you’d expect.

You’ll still get incredible views of the animals while seated. In fact, staying seated helps keep the ride flowing smoothly, so everyone gets more time out on the savanna.

Not Preparing for the Bluey Crowds

If you’re a Bluey fan or traveling with one, listen up.

Bluey and Bingo in Disneyland

Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station is not a pop-up. This is a permanent addition to Animal Kingdom, and it’s going to draw serious crowds from the moment it opens. Located in the former Rafiki’s Planet Watch area, you’ll take the Wildlife Express train to reach it, which already creates a natural bottleneck.

Check out that crowd!

Once you’re there, the experience is packed with things to do. You can meet Bluey and Bingo, play games like Butterfly Keepy Uppy, join a dance party, and visit Jumping Junction, a brand-new petting zoo in the former Affection Section featuring Australian animals from Bluey’s home country. Think kangaroos, wallabies, and emus. It’s genuinely delightful, and it’s going to be genuinely packed. Plan to get there early, build in extra time, and manage expectations if you’re bringing little ones. Going in without a strategy means going in frustrated.

Going to Nomad Lounge (Please, We’re Begging)

Okay, this one is a joke. Kind of. Nomad Lounge is one of the most underrated spots in all of Walt Disney World, and we’re selfishly asking you to forget it exists so we can keep getting a table.

Nomad Lounge

The cocktails are exceptional, the food is genuinely good, and the atmosphere is relaxed in the best way. You didn’t hear any of this from us.

Nomad Lounge Spread

Animal Kingdom rewards guests who show up prepared, stay aware of their surroundings, and respect the experience it’s built to deliver. From the safari to the brand-new Bluey area, there’s a lot worth slowing down for.
