There’s one Magic Kingdom ride that’s currently going under more of a refurbishment than we originally expected, and right now, we’ve got no idea how long it’ll continue.
That’s why we’re really turning our heads at this massive unexpected closure that happened yesterday for the SAME ride, and we’re genuinely wondering if it was accidental…or happened on purpose, but it wasn’t announced, so no one knows. The exterior of Haunted Mansion is currently under a major refurbishment (though, it hasn’t been mentioned what exactly is going on), though the inside is supposed to be fully operational, making this all-day closure extra interesting. Disney, what’s REALLY going on with this ride?

Magic Kingdom
The day started off pretty rough, seeing as the Barnstormer, Haunted Mansion, and Mad Tea Party were all down the first hour of the day, and then Haunted Mansion remained closed for the ENTIRE day. It didn’t open once, and was also joined by other ride issues from Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, the PeopleMover, and more. TRON Lightcycle / Run had the highest wait time of 105 minutes at the very end of the day, but that was easily overshadowed by the major ride issues throughout the day.

Rise of the Resistance was closed for the first three hours of the park day, so it was no surprise it had the highest wait of 90 minutes when it reopened.
