This Disney's Hollywood Studios Ride Is Suddenly Popular

In every Disney World park, there are attractions that are almost always going to have the highest wait times due to their popularity.

Sometimes we see breaks in the pattern, but they surprise us just as much as they surprise you. However, there are times when a new trend emerges that we don’t fully understand, but we don’t have to understand it in order for it to happen. If you’re headed to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we’ll tell you know — the most popular ride you were EXPECTING to see with the highest wait time may not be what you’re thinking of.

Let’s take a look at wait times from Wednesday, February 4th.

Magic Kingdom

TRON Lightcycle / Run hit a 95 minute wait a few different times throughout the day, including the second to last hour of the day. We did see some ride closures at the beginning of the day, including Pirates of the Caribbean, which was closed for the first two hours of the day, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was also closed for two hours closer to the end of the day. We were glad to see no major closures affected the park, especially as we get closer to a weekend.

Epcot

We’re starting to see a trend here with the wait time for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — it seems that at the end of every day, it hits one of its highest wait times of the day. In this case, it was 115 minutes. We didn’t see many ride closures, which was a win, but Spaceship Earth did close for two hours closer to the end of the day, which is a bit concerning since the attraction underwent a refurbishment at the end of 2025. We’re hoping this was just a fluke though, and this won’t become a new pattern!

Flight of Passage hit a 70 minute wait twice during the day, right around 9 AM for the first time, and 2 PM for the second, which is interesting, to say the least! What we’re learning about this park is, for right now while so much construction is ongoing, it’s getting hard to track wait time trends!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

While Rise of the Resistance AND Slinky Dog Dash both had closure issues during the day, on more than one occasion, something extremely interesting happened — neither of them had the highest wait time, even after reopening. Nope, instead that title, once again, went to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run with a 105 minute wait. We really don’t know where the sudden surge of extra popularity for this ride came from, but we’re taking it into account in our trip planning, and recommend you do the same!
