Is This Disney World Ride REALLY Worth a 5-Hour Wait?!

It’s no secret that Star Wars fans flock to Disney World to experience Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Can you blame them? Where else can you eat space-themed food (and have that amazing Ronto Wrap), hang out with Chewbacca and Rey, and get in touch with your Dark (Or Light) Side by building a lightsaber? Well, you’d think some of the excitement surrounding Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge would’ve died out by now, but it hasn’t.

What makes us say this? Well, we’ve been keeping an eye on ride wait times in Disney World, and some of the highest usually belong to the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction. But ANOTHER Star Wars ride has taken its place as the most popular, at least as of yesterday.

That would be Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, which had a wait time of 295 minutes yesterday. Yes, people are waiting nearly five hours for the Millennium Falcon simulator. We guess a lot of folks really want to drive the Falcon. This is one of the highest wait times we’ve ever seen for this ride, too. So Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is still HUGE in Disney World.

There’s an easier way to ride the Millennium Falcon, though. If you purchase Genie+, you can skip that long five-hour line and head to the faster Lightning Lane line instead. We’d highly recommend that strategy over spending what is almost half a day waiting in line. Also, near the end of the night, the wait time dropped to 20 minutes.
