You might think that Spring Break has finished in Disney World, but you’d be WRONG.
There are still some significant crowds in Disney World and with big crowds can come long wait times for rides. We know Disney World is within a peak travel season when rides hit multiple-hour wait times. So what can you do if you’re stuck in Disney World with three-hour wait times?
Well, the most obvious answer is also the most expensive. If you don’t want to wait in those multiple-hour-long lines, you’ll likely want to purchase Genie+. But Genie+ pricing changes by the day and can vary with demand, and with demand being high right now, you could pay upwards of $35 per person. That’s a lot of money, but it could save you a significant amount of time, so it could be worth it.
But keep in mind that Genie+ doesn’t include EVERY ride in Disney World. Some of the more popular rides, like Flight of Passage and Rise of the Resistance, require a SEPARATE fee to skip the lines (Individual Lightning Lane option) per person. The pricing for these also varies by date, park, and ride and you could end up spending $25 per person (or more, or less, depending on the ride) just to skip the standby line at a SINGLE ride once.
Note that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON Lightcycle / Run also have that option, but if you’re fast on the draw and lucky enough, you could nab a FREE virtual queue time for those.
So, ultimately, you have to think about the old saying that time is money. You may have to spend more money to spend less time in lines. Will it be worth it?

Any thoughts on when crowd levels and Genie+ costs might come down? I have a trip booked in early May and have been checking the My Disney app everyday! I was hoping for average crowds and Genie+ cost by the time my trip arrived ?
