Why Disney World Wait Times SURPRISED Us This Week

The weather is cooling down, the Halloween decorations are out, and crowds are high — yep, it’s definitely October!

It’s Halloween in Magic Kingdom

In addition to visiting EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival, you might be a lucky ticketholder for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. But what about ride wait times? We’ve put together all the average wait times in Disney World from the past week — so you know exactly what you’ll be getting into for an October visit!

If standing in long lines all day doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, we totally get it — but that doesn’t mean you should have to skip your favorite rides! Genie+ is a new option for Disney World visitors, costing between $15 to $22 per person, per day. It’s kind of like the previous FastPass+ program, except it’ll cost you now.

Genie+ lets you access the lightning lane at many Disney World attractions

A Genie+ purchase lets you use Lightning Lanes instead of standby lines, which typically cut your wait time down drastically. We suggest paying attention to your favorite ride wait times — are they low? High? Let’s go over the average weekly times for Disney World rides this past week!

In Magic Kingdom, Haunted Mansion averaged 42 minutes (the same average wait time from last week), Peter Pan’s Flight averaged 51 minutes (versus its average of 52 minutes last week), and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train averaged 57 minutes (two minutes down from last week’s average of 59 minutes).
