A LOT has happened in Disney World, especially in Magic Kingdom. The biggest news, though, is that TRON / Lightcycle Run has had a soft opening in that park.
But just because TRON is the new ride in town and filling up its virtual queue spots quickly, doesn’t mean other rides are empty. Instead, we’re still seeing some long lines at other Disney World rides and some might not exactly be the rides you’d expect. Let’s take a look.
It’s important to keep in mind that it is also the Spring Break travel season, so that plays a factor in long standby lines, too. For example, the line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train reached up to two hours in the afternoon. But that might have already been a ride you expected to have long waits in Magic Kingdom.
How about Jungle Cruise though? Did you expect that to be up there? Though at some points of the day, the wait for this ride was as low as 30 minutes, at one point it reached a wait time of 100 minutes!
One thing that could have impacted wait times at Jungle Cruise (and other rides) is ride closures. The ride was actually closed for much of the morning, which could have affected wait times later on. Combine that with the sheer number of people who came to the park for the TRON attraction, and it makes sense that wait times can be high in Magic Kingdom. This is a park where using Genie+ could come in very handy.
Overall, the “usual suspects” had some high wait times recently — Rise of the Resistance reached a wait of almost three hours yesterday. But some other rides that are a little more unexpected got pretty high up there in terms of wait times.

- Peter Pan’s Flight (it can be easy to forget about this one but remember that it can get VERY busy)
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

- Space Mountain
- Pirates of the Caribbean (though wait times for this truly did vary throughout the day)
EPCOT
- Test Track (this is another popular one that you might overlook at first in your race to World Showcase but remember it can be very busy!)
- Frozen Ever After
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
- Soarin’
Animal Kingdom
- Avatar Flight of Passage (no shocker there)
- Na’vi River Journey (this ride may be short but its wait times can be LONG and sometimes even EXCEED the wait time for Flight of Passage so be cautious!)
- Dinosaur, Kilimanjaro Safaris, and Kali River Rapids also crept up there with some higher wait times
Hollywood Studios
- Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway (do NOT forget that the wait times here can get long!)
- Slinky Dog Dash
- Rise of the Resistance
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
- Toy Story Mania (this is another one where the wait times can sneak up on you!)
