9 Dates to AVOID Buying Disney World Lightning Lanes in July

If you’re heading to Disney World this upcoming weekend or week… you might want to be prepared to spend some extra dough.

Holiday weekends tend to draw some pretty intense crowds, and it looks like this upcoming Fourth of July will be no different. Lightning Lane prices are going UP on these July dates, so you might want to avoid buying it — or avoid the parks!

Heads up! Lightning Lane prices are INCREASING soon! From July 4th to July 12th, the price for Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Magic Kingdom will jump to $35 per person, per day. Multi Pass prices are also increasing at the three other parks, and Lightning Lane Single Passes are also seeing price increases in many cases.

Our top tips for avoiding long lines without spending any extra money are to rope drop the parks (get there right when — or before — they open), get in line during meal times or parades and fireworks, or wait until people start leaving for the night!

You can also take advantage of things like Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours, depending on which Disney hotel you’re staying at. These offerings allow hotel guests to get a little extra time in the parks before everyone else gets there.

And, you can always take advantage of Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass (and the new Premier Pass!) These are skip-the-line services that allow you to bypass the standby lines at popular Disney World rides. Disney recently switched over to this system instead of the previous Genie+.
