Why You Need to Get to Magic Kingdom EARLY

It’s September, which means it’s the unofficial “slow season” in Walt Disney World.

As proof of that, recently we’ve seen relatively low wait times in Disney World, with even some of the most popular rides seeing lower than average standby wait times.

Looking at the wait times from yesterday, Thursday September 22nd, 2022, one thing is very clear. If you’re looking to get the lowest wait times possible without spending the extra money on Genie+ (the $15 per person, per day option to skip the line), you’re going to want to get to Disney World EARLY.

A perfect example of that was in Magic Kingdom yesterday morning, where the vast majority of rides were 25 minutes or less at park opening. However, if you’re looking to get to the parks even earlier, you’re going to want to stay on property. That’s because guests staying on Disney property get to take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry, which allows you to get into the parks 30 minutes before they open.

Yesterday morning saw relatively low wait times at opening, however, those would be even lower when you’re able to get in 30 minutes early!
