What Do Wait Times Look Like in Disney World Right Before A Hurricane?

Yesterday was a unique situation in Disney World. As a result of Hurricane Milton’s imminent arrival in Florida, the parks and Disney Springs closed early and remain closed today.

As expected, this meant that a lot of visitors with plans to visit Disney World this week canceled their trips and many who were already in the area chose not to visit the parks. This was reflected in the wait times for rides throughout all four parks, but just how much of an impact did it have? Let’s find out.

The wait times in Disney World were so low that if you had purchased Lightning Lane Multi Pass for yesterday, it would have been a big waste of money. Even popular rides like Flight of Passage and Rise of the Resistance, which tend to have wait times of at least one hour on slower days, only had wait times of 15-20 minutes.

In other words, most rides were quite literally walk-ons yesterday. Granted some were closed throughout the parks’ short operating hours, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was closed through noon, meaning its longest wait time was when it reopened (45 minutes). But even before the park closed at 2PM, the wait for that ride was only 30 minutes.
