There’s one thing you can almost always count on in Disney World, or so it seems.
It’s likely that one of your favorite rides may be closed at any part of the day. Rides go down OFTEN (sometimes due to weather), and although they usually don’t stay closed that long, some rides actually have longer closures. On August 9th, Expedition Everest had a tough time staying open in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
So when Animal Kingdom opened at 8AM on August 9th, Expedition Everest was closed and stayed that way until 11AM. However, the ride then closed again at 1PM and stayed closed until 3PM.
So what should you do if that happens and Expedition Everest is a priority? Well, the first thing you should do is keep a close eye on the My Disney Experience app — that way, you’ll know when the ride reopens. However, it’s also good to have a backup plan and know what other rides you might want to get on instead if these closures occur.
