My husband and I made a whirlwind trip from Louisiana to Walt Disney World over the Memorial Day holiday and, of course, we had to stay at our favorite resort, Caribbean Beach. Over the years, we have spent hundreds of nights at the resort and it has never let us down. We were in Aruba building 52 which was conveniently placed near the Riviera Resort Skyliner and within walking distance of the Aruba bus stop. Given that the trip was a short one, we only ate in the food court a couple of times but both times that we did, we were satisfied. We will be going back for our annual 16 day stay in November and I'll be able to provide more details/review after that trip.
Pros:
Skyliner station Offers both counter and table service restaurants Beaches Family and adult friendly Can see the fireworks from the resortCons:

I absolutely love this resort! Love the beach feel. Love the skyliner access. Great pool. Just an all around great place to stay when in Disney World!
Pros:
Skyliner and overall asthetics.Cons:
Many say it is too large, but I don't go to Disney and complain about walking personallyReviewed by KyleM Review Date: 02/16/2024

My family and I stayed here after staying at Art if Animation our previous trip. We wanted to stay at a Skylines report and picked this one because we liked the way the rooms were later out. We had asked for Martinique, but got Jamaica. This turned out not to be a problem for us. The dinning area was a but if a walk, but we didn't mind. We felt we had more and better choices than Art of Animation.
Pros:
Not as heavily themed with a laid back quiet vibe. Good varied food offerings.Cons:
It is spread out, but we enjoyed the walks.Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 01/25/2024

I loved this resort for the pool, skyliner, room cleanliness, and Caribbean feel! The buses work great but the Skyliner is a real game changer and provides a unique experience in itself. I don’t feel like the resort was too spread out but maybe I got lucky with my room location. One negative was the food, I wish there were better quick service options. Maybe next time we will try Sebastian’s Bistro. We will be staying here for our second time in 2024.
Pros:
Pool, skylines, affordable price for a moderate resort, beach feel with Caribbean flareCons:
Food choices, size factor might be any issue for some.Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 11/17/2023

Stayed here for 4 days. We knew going in this resort was very big; but we didn't have our kids with us this time, so no issues there. Depending on your preference, you can stay near the lobby (Old Port Royale) or the Skyliner. The Skyliner is GREAT! Quick hop over to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. (You can actually see Spaceship Earth from the resort...very pretty when it's lit up at night). The lobby is huge and the staff is top-notch...very friendly and courteous from the moment we got there, to the moment we left. We got to the resort early in the day, so we dropped our bags off at the Bell station...very friendly folks there too....we got to keep our luggage there most of the day and we did not get back to the resort until almost 10 and still was not a problem.
I am normally an "early bird" so I went to the food court to get coffee in the morning before everyone got up. The walk there was nice. We were in building 25, fairly close to the Skyliner If you want to be right next to the Skyliner station, ask to be put in Jamaica.
The bus stations are nice and clean and you can check your MDE app for the bus times. They were pretty on schedule every time. It gets crowded coming back from the parks (especially MK); but that is the case with pretty much any resort.
Overall, great resort and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.
Pros:
Great theme, very friendly staff and good food.Cons:
VERY big resort...you are going to walk a bit. Welcome to WDW.Reviewed by JohnL Review Date: 10/01/2023

We stayed at CBR the end of August for three days. Knew the resort is spread out and asked for premium location and received Barbados. Still close to the Skyliner and not far from main building and pool. Enjoyed the private pools proximity to the rooms and quiet to relax after a day at parks. Had a great meal first night at Banana Cabana in the open-air themed pool bar. Castaway Cay was great for walks, exploring, and private time. Riveria Resort a short walk to enjoy dining options and is also very close to Skyliner if you want to ride it back to CBR station versus walking path back. Free activities and games, plus fishing excursions available at extra cost! Grounds are beautiful and staff really helpful and polite. Did not dine table service at CBR and can only comment on the quick service market and grab & go. Both were great options and open late if you are hungry after parks or need a late-night snack. The rooms for a moderate resort were not equal to the price point but realize some rooms are being re-themed to Little Mermaid. Also, understand the main pool is under renovation so perhaps the accommodations and amenities will be update for your stay 2024 and beyond. We would stay there again as we loved the theme and open space layout with private pools and proximity to Skyliner and Riveria Resort. Note, the buildings only have steps to the second floor so if you are traveling with those who have mobility issues you will need to request first floor room.
Pros:
Spacious layout Free activities Fishing Beautiful grounds and theme Skyliner Riveria Resort EPCOT fireworksCons:
Rooms too far walking distance to amenities in some cases Steps only to second floor rooms may be difficult for mobility challengedReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 08/31/2023

1st time staying here. Our family of 5 liked it a lot. We didn't get our request of staying in Aruba or Jamaica near bridge like we asked, we got one of the new under the sea rooms in Trinidad, Bldg 39. I think in the long run we ended up liking that room better. The big kids loved the pull down bed, that folded up and allowed couch space during the day. And our little one loved his murphy bed too. Air conditioner broke 2 nights in a row, once blowing hot air heating the room to 88 degrees at 4am. Called front desk it was fixed within 45 minutes first night, 30 minutes the 2nd night (5:30am). That was our worst complaint really. Wish we had more time to spend in the room, it was really nice. The skyliner was a big plus though. I don't know that I will be able to go back to a hotel that only has bus transportation after this. We drove to a parking lot area near the skyliner, since the walk was a bit too far for me. And at night, even leaving EPCOT at the end of the night after the fireworks show, and the line looking like it was going to take 2 hours to get thru, only took us 25 minutes maybe - and at least we all got to sit down for the ride back - unlike the buses at that time of night. Not a fan of them stopping for even a minute, but ultimately it wasn't that bad. Now could be different if we got stuck for 10+ minutes though, especially in the daytime heat. But we were lucky and few times it stopped was only for a minute or less.
Pros:
SKYLINER! Beds that fold down at night, and put away to make more space during the day. Freestyle coke machines in Bldgs nearby for refills, instead of having to go to main dining area.Cons:
Price per night a little more than I like to pay. Large, spreadout hotel - helps to have a rental car to drive close to main dining hall/pool and skyliners or bus stops. Air conditioner broke 2 nights in a row, in 90 degree temps.Reviewed by Lifewithkelskels Review Date: 12/06/2022

I recently stayed at the Caribbean Beach resort and I have mixed feelings about it. The rooms were okay. You can tell they were renovated but my room kind of felt run down. The room was still clean and I slept great after a long park day. The resort itself is HUGE so getting from point A to point B can be a bit of a hassle. I will say, there is a ton of stuff to do here so it would probably be a great resort for families. The best thing was the skyliner access by far. I requested a room close to the skyliner and they were able to accommodate that for me. It was great to hop on the skyliner after a long day and be super close to my room.
