Stayed here for 4 days. We knew going in this resort was very big; but we didn't have our kids with us this time, so no issues there. Depending on your preference, you can stay near the lobby (Old Port Royale) or the Skyliner. The Skyliner is GREAT! Quick hop over to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. (You can actually see Spaceship Earth from the resort...very pretty when it's lit up at night). The lobby is huge and the staff is top-notch...very friendly and courteous from the moment we got there, to the moment we left. We got to the resort early in the day, so we dropped our bags off at the Bell station...very friendly folks there too....we got to keep our luggage there most of the day and we did not get back to the resort until almost 10 and still was not a problem.
I am normally an "early bird" so I went to the food court to get coffee in the morning before everyone got up. The walk there was nice. We were in building 25, fairly close to the Skyliner If you want to be right next to the Skyliner station, ask to be put in Jamaica.
The bus stations are nice and clean and you can check your MDE app for the bus times. They were pretty on schedule every time. It gets crowded coming back from the parks (especially MK); but that is the case with pretty much any resort.
Overall, great resort and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.
Pros:
Great theme, very friendly staff and good food.Cons:
VERY big resort...you are going to walk a bit. Welcome to WDW.Reviewed by JohnL Review Date: 10/01/2023

We stayed at CBR the end of August for three days. Knew the resort is spread out and asked for premium location and received Barbados. Still close to the Skyliner and not far from main building and pool. Enjoyed the private pools proximity to the rooms and quiet to relax after a day at parks. Had a great meal first night at Banana Cabana in the open-air themed pool bar. Castaway Cay was great for walks, exploring, and private time. Riveria Resort a short walk to enjoy dining options and is also very close to Skyliner if you want to ride it back to CBR station versus walking path back. Free activities and games, plus fishing excursions available at extra cost! Grounds are beautiful and staff really helpful and polite. Did not dine table service at CBR and can only comment on the quick service market and grab & go. Both were great options and open late if you are hungry after parks or need a late-night snack. The rooms for a moderate resort were not equal to the price point but realize some rooms are being re-themed to Little Mermaid. Also, understand the main pool is under renovation so perhaps the accommodations and amenities will be update for your stay 2024 and beyond. We would stay there again as we loved the theme and open space layout with private pools and proximity to Skyliner and Riveria Resort. Note, the buildings only have steps to the second floor so if you are traveling with those who have mobility issues you will need to request first floor room.
Pros:
Spacious layout Free activities Fishing Beautiful grounds and theme Skyliner Riveria Resort EPCOT fireworksCons:
Rooms too far walking distance to amenities in some cases Steps only to second floor rooms may be difficult for mobility challengedReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 08/31/2023

1st time staying here. Our family of 5 liked it a lot. We didn't get our request of staying in Aruba or Jamaica near bridge like we asked, we got one of the new under the sea rooms in Trinidad, Bldg 39. I think in the long run we ended up liking that room better. The big kids loved the pull down bed, that folded up and allowed couch space during the day. And our little one loved his murphy bed too. Air conditioner broke 2 nights in a row, once blowing hot air heating the room to 88 degrees at 4am. Called front desk it was fixed within 45 minutes first night, 30 minutes the 2nd night (5:30am). That was our worst complaint really. Wish we had more time to spend in the room, it was really nice. The skyliner was a big plus though. I don't know that I will be able to go back to a hotel that only has bus transportation after this. We drove to a parking lot area near the skyliner, since the walk was a bit too far for me. And at night, even leaving EPCOT at the end of the night after the fireworks show, and the line looking like it was going to take 2 hours to get thru, only took us 25 minutes maybe - and at least we all got to sit down for the ride back - unlike the buses at that time of night. Not a fan of them stopping for even a minute, but ultimately it wasn't that bad. Now could be different if we got stuck for 10+ minutes though, especially in the daytime heat. But we were lucky and few times it stopped was only for a minute or less.
Pros:
SKYLINER! Beds that fold down at night, and put away to make more space during the day. Freestyle coke machines in Bldgs nearby for refills, instead of having to go to main dining area.Cons:
Price per night a little more than I like to pay. Large, spreadout hotel - helps to have a rental car to drive close to main dining hall/pool and skyliners or bus stops. Air conditioner broke 2 nights in a row, in 90 degree temps.Reviewed by Lifewithkelskels Review Date: 12/06/2022

I recently stayed at the Caribbean Beach resort and I have mixed feelings about it. The rooms were okay. You can tell they were renovated but my room kind of felt run down. The room was still clean and I slept great after a long park day. The resort itself is HUGE so getting from point A to point B can be a bit of a hassle. I will say, there is a ton of stuff to do here so it would probably be a great resort for families. The best thing was the skyliner access by far. I requested a room close to the skyliner and they were able to accommodate that for me. It was great to hop on the skyliner after a long day and be super close to my room.
Pros:
Lots of stuff to do, skyliner access, great for families, comfy bedsCons:
Felt a little run down, resort is large and spread out which makes it hard to get around sometimes.Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 11/03/2022

On the fence of which moderate resort to stay at? This is by far the best. My family stayed in Sept 2022 for 9 days and we were all in agreement. Why? Location, gondolas, beautiful grounds, food options, pool, room decor, and staff were super friendly and helpful. We loved the fact that we could take gondola to two parks and also to Art of Animation to eat. At the end of the day strolling the grounds and watching Epcot fireworks was a plus for sure. We get the park hopper tickets and with the use of gondolas going back and forth to parks is worth the cost.
Pros:
Location, gondola stationsCons:

We stayed here for 8 days at the end of August and I can't say enough good things about this resort! We had a standard room in Aruba 52, which was very close to the Epcot/Riviera Skyliner, quiet pool/laundry and bus stop. I know that the resort was almost at capacity, but it never felt or sounded like it. We ended up taking a mid-day break every day to have some pool time at the main pool and it was worth it! We all loved the pool, especially my 8yo daughter and nephew! The Cast Members at the pool were always lovely and engaging. We never felt like the walk to the main building from our room in Aruba was too long.
Our room was clean and looked well maintained. I understand that some don't like the brown carpet, which I get. However nothing in the room looked worn or tired. We absolutely loved the Skyliner, what a game changer! Every CM we interacted with was always lovely and helpful. We can't wait to go back!
Pros:
Skyliner, beautiful views & grounds, fantastic pool.Cons:

We enjoyed a week of magic here at CBR in late August/early September of 2022- 4 adults and 2 kiddos. With adjoining pirate rooms, the trip started out delightful and each day was a [cannonball] blast. Trinidad is the farthest island from the main building, but the walk was truly no more than 10-15 mins at a leisurely pace as a ground containing both a pair of toddlers and set of grandparents. Zero issues strolling around to all needed locations. The pool was phenomenon, meals enjoyed on site were pleasant and filling (note Sebastians was not open on our visit). We drove to MK, but enjoyed the ease and comfort of the skyliner for all else- what a delight! Easy to access, easy to use. Everyone loved it.
In all, don't fear what is said about the size of CBR! This resort is a gem with beautiful views, well tailored theming, friendly cast members, and everything needed to have a tropical vacation in the middle of your magical getaway!
Pros:
Views, atmosphere, incomparably pool, skyliner accessCons:

This was literally the worst Disney experience we have EVER had. We paid for two Waterview rooms, and ended up getting Standard View rooms (basically all we could see was the other buildings). It was an upcharge of about $172 per room for the length of our stay, so around $344 total. To top it off, none of the plugs or USB plus in either room worked, and the AC in one of the rooms broke and then leaked water, at least 2 inches deep, into one room and stretching into the second room. Overall, the staff was unhelpful to say the least. It took us 4 trips to the front desk, over 3 or 4 days to even get anyone over there to fix it and get the water up. The smell was horrendous by the time they did. The only thing they did was comp part of the parking for one of the rooms. Our other issues, they just said they would take note and that was it. I tried contacted Guest Service after returning home and at first their response was, well we were overbooked. We booked over a year in advance. Them overbooking shouldn't have been our fault... and... if they overbooked, the least they could do was reimburse us so that we were only paying for the Standard View that we had. Between the view, the inability to charge anything because no plugs, the smell, and the standing water... I will NEVER stay at the Caribbean Beach again. A number of people I talked to while there had similar experiences during that trip. If I could give it Zero stars I would. After dealing with Guest Services, I'm not even sure I will ever stay at ANY Disney Resort. We clearly didn't get what we paid for, and their customer service has taken a HUGE drop in caring about customer satisfaction. 🙁
