We've stayed at this resort twice before and always had a good experience. When we booked this trip, only preferred rooms were available, and I'm so glad we got one. It was definitely worth the upgrade to be located right next to the lobby, food court and buses. The room set up was great for a couple. We left the Murphy bed up and had a dining area instead. Our room had a tub, which was fantastic for relaxing at the end of the day. I bought bath bombs at Basin and had a spa moment every night of our trip. The only downside is that our room was located next to the main pool and it could get loud, especially at nighttime. Otherwise, I thought this room was a fantastic value! I don't know if we just got lucky or if bus transportation is operating more smoothly than in the past, but we never had to wait more than a few minutes for a bus at our resort or at the parks. I preferred our stay here over moderate and deluxe resorts we previously stayed.
Pros:Great value, comfy accommodations, efficient bus system
Cons:It's a pretty noisy resort - lots of school groups stay here

I have stayed in a standard room and in the updated suite here. Both types of rooms were very nice to stay in. We comfortably fit two adults in a standard room and could have maybe fit one more. We fit five adults in the suite with no problem, and even with both Murphy beds down, we could walk around the room comfortably. The two full bathrooms in the suite were also a big plus for getting ready in the morning. I don't think we could have found room for another large suitcase in the suite, so if you are a group of six adults, you may want to try to get two connected standard rooms if you don't mind not having a kitchenette.
The room decor was cute and in-theme, but it wasn't overwhelming. I enjoyed looking around the rooms to find little added details.
There were lots of activities at the hotel. Pretty much every night, they had a different movie outside by the pool, and I enjoyed a nice drink, a comfy lounge chair, and Frozen II while other members of my party enjoyed an evening swim.
If you are looking for a more "grown up" experience, I might recommend staying somewhere else. This is a popular place for families to stay, so there are a lot of kids everywhere. However, every time we have stayed there, it has not been a problem for us, and it is nice to see kids enjoying their trip too.
Pros:Lots of fun entertainment options for children. Nice, clean rooms. Renovated suites are great options for larger groups.
Cons:Depending on the building you are in, it can be a long walk at the end of an already long day at the parks. Lots of kids can be overwhelming if you wanted a more "grown up" hotel experience. No table service dining.

Not so fancy but still fantastic. This is a solid hotel with clean nice rooms. Great for smaller families or solo trips. The food was nothing to write home (or AllEars) about.
Cons:Distance to the bus stop...hot tip take the bus to All Star Sports and walk across the parking lot to access the farthest buildings.

I have stayed in all of the All-Star locations over the years for one trip or another and so this review applies to Music, Movies, and Sports.
Look here, buckos! Are the All-Star Resorts the most amazing and luxurious resorts you will have ever stayed in? No, most definitely not. However, as the most value-centric locations on property, they are meant to be exactly that: VALUES.
Many people compare the All-Star Resorts to Disney World Motel6. However, as someone who has stayed in many a Motel6 in my time, that is NOT the case.
The All-Stars are simplistic, themed cheesily, and have just the basics in terms of food options. However, all of that is exactly why you pay the low price to stay here! The rooms are largely pretty well-maintained (especially with the recent room refurbs), are a decent enough size, and the food options do just what you need them to: sustain you.
I have stayed here as a child, as a high schooler, and as an adult, and have enjoyed each experience. If you are like us and prefer to spend as much time in the parks as possible and just have a decent place to lay your head until you go to the next park bright and early the next day, then the All-Stars do exactly what you need them to do.
Now, I will say that if possible, we prefer to stay at Pop Century over the All-Star resorts for the sole reason of the Skyliner. However, for a price that lets be honest is not really any higher than many hotels in most places around the country these days (I once stayed in an Econo Lodge that was legitimately concerning for a similar price as a night at the All-Stars), these resorts do the job.
Pros:Value price for a well-maintained resort Still on property so still get Disney theming Great place to lay your head in between park days New refurbs freshen up the rooms
Cons:Amenities are a bit limited (though you can’t expect too much!) These CAN get a bit loud/crowded around school/band trip seasons

We recently stayed as a family of 5 (4 adults and 1 tween). The new updated suits were perfect. We didn't feel like we were missing anything seeing is its "value". plenty of space, kitchen area was perfect. But wait for it....FULL sized fridge, AND a micro wave. We also had serrate bathrooms so very little down time while waiting for people to get ready. 10/10 highly recommend
Pros:2 bathrooms, storage space, fridge and microwave, and since we were 2 families we didn't feel like we were squished. plenty of space. Murphy beds were fine for adults and we never put them back up and still had decent "living" space for the small amount of time we spend in the room.
Cons:While we didn't encounter this, some rooms are FAR FROM THE buses and food court. I asked for preferred pool and we got it. also, food court can get old quick.

We stayed here in a preferred room 2/20-2/26/22, so we were right by the main pool. The reason we stayed here is because we planned a trip sort of last minute and this was the only non-deluxe resort that had availability. Our favorite value is pop and this was a let down from pop. The mickey waffles were good in the morning but we definitely missed the skyliner, buses were always full and late, the hotel was always noisy, and the theming wasn't really...there.
Pros:On disney property, reasonably priced
Cons:theming, buses, noisy

The theming is definitely great for your little ones. However, outside of Mickey here and there with some music thrown in...it's pretty much the same as any small hotel room you'd find in your home town.
Pros:- definitely heavily Disney themed - many transportation options
Cons:- long walks if you're not near transportation hubs

Stayed here 11/8-11/15 Rock n Roll building.
We stayed at this resort based only on price and that it was on property.
The room was clean and well maintained. Possibly refurbished within the last year. It was about a 5 min walk to the main building/pool. We had breakfast at the food court 3 mornings. The food was typical WDW resort food court fare. My expectations weren't too high so I wasn't disappointed. The pizza was ok. The bus service was no better or worse than what I have experienced staying at other WDW resorts.
Pros:Great staff, Clean & Quiet

This hotel was more than what I expected. My family went in August 2019 with the outdated room theming. Thankfully they have updated the rooms recently, or I would’ve given a 5 star. We stayed in the Jazz section, but definitely pay the extra $$$ for a preferred room, as it can be a hike from the front to your hotel room. The buses can be extremely slow and can be packed before they get to you. Also, be prepared to wait a long time to be picked up at one of the theme parks. I mean, a long time! It might be worth Ubering a few times especially if kids are tired, hungry, hot, etc.
Cons:Slow buses, not enough food options, huge layout

I liked the overall theme of this resort but isn’t the best of the value resorts and definitely not the best of all the Disney world resorts. The food was ok.
