We enjoyed a week of magic here at CBR in late August/early September of 2022- 4 adults and 2 kiddos. With adjoining pirate rooms, the trip started out delightful and each day was a [cannonball] blast. Trinidad is the farthest island from the main building, but the walk was truly no more than 10-15 mins at a leisurely pace as a ground containing both a pair of toddlers and set of grandparents. Zero issues strolling around to all needed locations. The pool was phenomenon, meals enjoyed on site were pleasant and filling (note Sebastians was not open on our visit). We drove to MK, but enjoyed the ease and comfort of the skyliner for all else- what a delight! Easy to access, easy to use. Everyone loved it.

In all, don't fear what is said about the size of CBR! This resort is a gem with beautiful views, well tailored theming, friendly cast members, and everything needed to have a tropical vacation in the middle of your magical getaway!

Pros:

Views, atmosphere, incomparably pool, skyliner access

Cons:

None! Sincerely none!

This was literally the worst Disney experience we have EVER had. We paid for two Waterview rooms, and ended up getting Standard View rooms (basically all we could see was the other buildings). It was an upcharge of about $172 per room for the length of our stay, so around $344 total. To top it off, none of the plugs or USB plus in either room worked, and the AC in one of the rooms broke and then leaked water, at least 2 inches deep, into one room and stretching into the second room. Overall, the staff was unhelpful to say the least. It took us 4 trips to the front desk, over 3 or 4 days to even get anyone over there to fix it and get the water up. The smell was horrendous by the time they did. The only thing they did was comp part of the parking for one of the rooms. Our other issues, they just said they would take note and that was it. I tried contacted Guest Service after returning home and at first their response was, well we were overbooked. We booked over a year in advance. Them overbooking shouldn't have been our fault... and... if they overbooked, the least they could do was reimburse us so that we were only paying for the Standard View that we had. Between the view, the inability to charge anything because no plugs, the smell, and the standing water... I will NEVER stay at the Caribbean Beach again. A number of people I talked to while there had similar experiences during that trip. If I could give it Zero stars I would. After dealing with Guest Services, I'm not even sure I will ever stay at ANY Disney Resort. We clearly didn't get what we paid for, and their customer service has taken a HUGE drop in caring about customer satisfaction. 🙁

Pros:

Close to Skyliner and has slides at the pool

Cons:

Waterview rooms don't all actually have a waterview. The AC broke, flooded the room, and took about 4 days for them to finally send someone out to fix it. None of the plugs and USB outlets worked in the room (plugs would just fall out).

CBR is a great themed resort and best moderate resort, by far, if transportation to the park is important to you. The staff is incredible. It's an incredibly serene and relaxing resort with some gorgeous scenery. The food is good but the limited menu at Sebastian's is a problem for families with picky eaters. Cocktails here are great, and the themed pool and festive atmosphere is great break from the parks

Pros:

- The Skyliner hub makes getting to EPCOT, HS, and the Boardwalk so convenient and fun. - Themed pool and good food offers with mobile ordering at two locations - Banana Cabana

Cons:

- Very spread out resort so room location important. - The internal bus loop can make that last post-park leg lag. - Sebastian's Bistro's family-style menu is too restrictive for some families.

Great resort!

Pros:

The atmosphere was very relaxing and beautiful. We enjoyed walking to the pool in the evening. The beds were comfortable and we all slept great! We will be returning.

Cons:

Our AC unit leaked and the room was crowded once four of us and our luggage were inside, but we didn’t spend a lot of time in our room.

We loved CBR! The beds were so comfy, especially after extremely long days. The room was spacious. We requested Aruba and were mere steps away from the Riveria skyliner station which made getting around on skyliner days so quick and easy, and also close to Riveria for food to mix it up. The resort is beautiful, and the pool is awesome. The food was fine.
The walk is significant to the pool and lobby from Aruba, but it didn't bother us too much. The only complaint I really have was that the busses didn't come on time to get us to MK for rope drop, and that was really frustrating. If we only get an extra half hour now, and we don't even get that, then it takes away from the perks, which have already been chipped away at.

Pros:

spacious rooms, comfy beds, awesome pool, skyliner access

Cons:

bus service unreliable

Caribbean Beach is a resort that I feel VERY conflicted on for several reasons. Ready to take a journey?

On the positive side, Caribbean Beach is a gorgeous resort. Each section of the resort being themed around a different island is cool, the colors are bright and beautiful, and the design of the resort really feels like a tropical getaway. There are nice beaches all around the campus to sit on and the main building is beautiful. The food options here are pretty good as well. The Skyliner station here is a big advantage as well for travel. But the design and theming of Caribbean Beach is the star and makes this a really nice resort to just walk around.

This is a good thing, because there is a LOT of walking involved with staying at Caribbean Beach. While the walks are beautiful, this is also the resort’s biggest disadvantage.

Because the campus is so large and spread out, getting around can not only be quite an involved process, but also a bit confusing if you do not know the way. While each “island” is differently colored, that does not necessarily mean you will always be able to navigate easily. As such, we experienced a long walk to wherever we wanted to go, whether the main building for a meal, or even the bus stations to get to the park.

And the bus stations are the other challenge of Caribbean Beach. Because the resort is so large and spread out, if you are looking to take a bus to a park, or are returning from a park at the end of the day, you will likely have additional time involved in the travel, as you will need to either stop at one or more additional stations around Caribbean Beach on the way to the park or the way back from the park. These stops are typically pretty brief, but they can put a damper on the travel experience if you are just looking for a zippy trip. The fact that there is a Skyliner station here is helpful, as that at least offers another transportation option. However, if you are not close to the station, you are either in for another long walk, or even a bus ride to the Skyliner, which seems like transportation-ception.

Overall, Caribbean Beach is a gorgeous retreat. There are lots of great relaxation spots here, and some nice amenities. However, you will need some extra relaxation after all the walking to get from one place to their other, or extra relaxation after the challenges of transportation.

Pros:

Beautiful property with lovely beaches Good amenities and food options

Cons:

Really long walk to get most places you might want to go Transportation options can be pretty frustrating

Our family LOVES CBR! We don’t mind that things are spread out because it feels a lot more peaceful and quiet. A great spot to relax after crowded park days. The louder activities (like pool and playground) are away from the rooms. We love the look of the resort and the way it makes you feel like a real escape.

Pros:

Peaceful, beautiful resort. Fabulous pool, playground, and setting.

Cons:

No elevator to the second floor rooms.

For the price you pay the room service should be everyday. If lack of employees are the reason then lower the price since there is no salary overhead

Pros:

Location

Cons:

House keeping

We absolutely LOVED staying at the Caribbean Resort! We stayed in Jamaica and were the perfect distance from the Skyliner and the Main Pool/Lobby. Having the Skyliner go overhead was serene and we could watch the Epcot fireworks from the bridge every night. Oh - and that pool and the splash pad!! Perfect for our budget. I don't know that we'll stay anywhere else ever again!

Pros:

Skyliner Access, Pool

Cons:

Carpet in the Rooms

My family of four had a great stay at this resort! We had a fifth-sleeper room in the Aruba section and it was a great fit for us. My daughter (9) loved riding the skyliner. We rode it to Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Art of Animation all on our arrival day. The kids and I even rode from ‘our station’ to the Joffrey’s cart for coffee and donuts, then back to our room, on our departure day. The pool is great fun and one of my personal favorite dining experiences of the whole trip was dinner at Banana Cabana. We had a great server and it was a relaxing mid trip resort day.
I should mention that this was our first ever trip to WDW so I don’t have any comparisons to make, but the ease of getting around combined with an easy vibe, was perfect for our first ever visit to The World.

Pros:

Skyliner! (Ask for a room in the 5400 building) Beaches & hammocks Banana Cabana Pool & slide Grab and Go breakfast options Use the Riviera for more dining!!

Cons:

Busses (the waits can be loooong) Get better breakfast options at the Riviera
