Sorry, we’re late. I was throwing a FIT over the latest results of a poll YOU voted on!

When Disney World celebrates the holidays, they tend to go ALL OUT. Seriously, they leave no stone unturned in between whipping out the decorations, special ticketed parties, exclusive merchandise collections to fit any style, and even themed treats, eats, and sips to help you get into the season. But I have some bad news for you, dear AllEars reader: 14% of you might be a bit divided about what I have to say next.
Celebrations at Disney World are an incredible time to plan your next visit around. In between all of the special happenings and decor that covers Magic Kingdom, there really should be an award for just how far Disney World goes to make their visitors truly feel like they’ve stepped into the best the season has to offer.

So, imagine our excitement when we start seeing evidence of the first decorations of some of the biggest celebrations to happen each year around Magic Kingdom in the Fall. Think about it — this is the time when the air gets a little crisper, the leaves on the trees start to turn golden hues, and the smells of pumpkin and cinnamon fill the air (alright, it’s Florida, so you might just have to use your imagination for some of it). It’s also the home season to my favorite party to take over Magic Kingdom, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, which is built for families, duos, friend groups, and solo travelers alike to enjoy the weird and less sinister side of what Halloween has to offer.

Of course, I understand that not everyone thrives in the spooky season, or welcomes the idea of potentially being scared silly, and we recently asked YOU which of Disney World’s most popular seasonal events you enjoy seeing debut in the park the most. When we polled you, a whopping 14% MORE of you said that you lean towards Team Christmas decorations, and I don’t know that I’ll ever recover. (Just kidding, we’re still friends).

While it’s fun to see the Fall leaves, Mickey Pumpkin Wreaths, and even a few new additions this year around Magic Kingdom’s other lands, including the adorable Dumbo…

…and Timothy Mouse Pumpkin Wreaths lining the lamp poles, I can see the appeal that would give you the warm and fuzzies about Christmastime and the Holidays being on their way.

Of course, I’m sure the single biggest tipper of the scale to cause such a drastic imbalance was Magic Kingdom’s iconic “snoap” that falls around Main Street intermittently throughout the night as the days draw closer to the Christmas holiday.

While I won’t hold it against you (this time), you’ve got to admit that once you start to see the first signs of any seasonal celebration around Magic Kingdom, it’s hard not to get excited that your favorite season (whichever it is) is getting closer every day!

Settle this debate for me right now — how early is too early for Halloween and Fall decorations to go up around Disney World? Leave your rationale in the comments below!

I love Christmas. I’ve done MNSSHP and MVMCP and prefer the latter. Our local garden centre has already started putting up the Christmas decorations.
