FINALLY! Mickey Pumpkin Wreaths Have Arrived at Magic Kingdom

I think we can officially say that Halloween has arrived at Disney World!

What’s this?!

As a self-proclaimed Disney Halloween enthusiast, there are certain guidelines I wait to see before I can officially declare that spooky season has arrived at Disney. I personally got chills when I saw the bunting and the carved pumpkins staring back at me as I strolled Main Street earlier this week; however, I have to admit a HUGE piece of the Halloween spirit was still missing — until now.

If Halloween is your prime season to visit Disney World, you won’t have to worry any longer about your photos looking a bit empty! Earlier this week, Disney World set out the beginning decorations for Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A. and shocked us all when we noticed how much they’d accomplished overnight!

However, it didn’t take even the most casual of Disney fans to notice that Magic Kingdom still hadn’t set out arguably some of the most iconic pieces of Halloween decor we’ll see all season long — Mickey pumpkins!

After DAYS of setting out in the morning in search of their smiling faces, we’re happy to report that Magic Kingdom now has Mickey pumpkins set out all throughout the entrance and Main Street, U.S.A., to greet you as you enter!

Strike up the band!

We’re quite fond of the various pumpkin scarecrows you’ll find stationed near the Main Street Train Station wearing costumes reminiscent of Cast Members working at Main Street Confectionery…

However, the focal point just before your gaze reaches Cinderella Castle will now be met with towering Mickey pumpkins that flank each side of an iconic photo op!

It’s fall! Well…kinda.

That’s not all that’s new, though! Mickey pumpkin wreaths covering the street’s lampposts and lights are now present and ready to lend a gentle glow to the air as the sun sets each night.

It’s Halloween season, everybody! And it’s arrived just in time to usher in the first of this season’s Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, kicking off on August 15th.

We’re feeling more at ease now that Magic Kingdom is fully decorated to welcome its popular after-hours event back for another spooktacular season!

We’ll be ringing in the first party and showing you everything that’s offered throughout the night in real time. Be sure to check back in with us soon so you can party the night away, too!

  1. I try to wait until September. This year I’m on vaca till the 5th so I’ll start that weekend. It’s harder to wait to watch the movies! Halloween Town and Hocus Pocus are my favorites and I love all the Haunted Mansions. The muppets Haunted Mansion is hilarious! ?
