This gives eligible AAdvantage members a more streamlined, touchless experience at TSA security checkpoints. The program is also available at 60 U.S. airports where the airline operates, and we’re sharing all the details! A faster way to travel through TSA security? Sign us up!

Customers traveling through Charlotte (CLT), Chicago (ORD), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), New York (JFK and LGA), Philadelphia (PHL), Phoenix (PHX), and Washington, D.C. (DCA), will be able to verify their identity using “secure facial-matching technology without presenting a physical ID or boarding pass.

TSA PreCheck Touchless ID uses “advanced technology” to compare a customer’s live image to photos they’ve previously provided to the U.S. government, such as passport, Global Entry, or visa photos. After the identity is confirmed, customers can then move through security more quickly via an expedited checkpoint lane.

“Expanding TSA PreCheck® Touchless ID across our hub network is an important step in our commitment to creating a more seamless and efficient travel experience,” said American’s Chief Operating Officer David Seymour. “Our customers value speed, convenience and choice, and this partnership with TSA delivers all three.”

  • A smoother, more predictable checkpoint experience
