You’d be hard-pressed to visit Disney World during a week that’s more chaotic than the one we’re currently having.
For starters, it’s Spring Break season, so the crowds are heavy because of that. But also, Disney chose this week to bring back two fireworks shows and open a brand-new ride! We were in Magic Kingdom yesterday for the opening of TRON Lightcycle / Run, and there was an interesting trend we noticed.
It makes sense that on the opening day of TRON, many people were visiting specifically to ride the new coaster. But there were also other celebrations to check out in Tomorrowland, including exclusive snacks and TRON-themed merchandise. Because of this, it seems that many guests spent a large part of the day in that area of the park.
And what else does Tomorrowland have to offer for thrill junkies? Space Mountain of course! On the TRON Lightcycle / Run opening day, it seems that Space Mountain had higher wait times than usual, even hitting a peak of 2 hours around 3PM! It makes sense, considering the two rides are right next to each other.
