Why You Should SKIP Genie+ Right Now in Disney World

Spring break is right around the corner, and we expect to see a LOT of crowds in Disney World this year.

However, we’re still on the CUSP of that time before Spring Break, which could be a time to visit the parks, although some rides will almost always have long lines, regardless of crowds. But there is a strategy you can use to avoid the longest lines.

The first strategy is to take advantage of rope drop and park close — these are the two times of day when ride lines tend to be the lowest. Likewise, if you’re a Disney World hotel guest, you can also use Early Theme Park Entry to ride a few things before the parks officially open. If you’re staying at a deluxe resort, Extended Evening Hours could also be a good bet for avoiding long lines at attractions.

Of course, you can always purchase Genie+, but right now, the longest lines tend to be for rides not included with Genie+, like Rise of the Resistance and Flight of Passage. If those rides are a priority, you might want to skip buying Genie+ and just purchase the Individual Lightning Lane option instead.
