The SURPRISING Ride You’ll Need to Wait Hours for in Disney World

We’re in the midst of the holiday season, and with that, we’ve seen higher wait times and more expensive prices for Genie+ and Individual Attraction Selections.

But, the longest wait times aren’t where you’d expect…

While seeing a long wait time for Rise of the Resistance or Flight of Passage wouldn’t be unexpected, the highest average wait time this week was for Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Now, if you’ve been following along with our wait time updates, this may not come as a surprise. We have seen technical difficulties at Tower of Terror cause long waits for almost a year now, so the longer wait times are nothing new. However, for a ride that has been around as long as it has, it may come as a shock to you to see it averaging over an hour and a half wait!

Let’s take a look at ALL the average wait times for Disney World rides this past week!

Magic Kingdom

In Magic Kingdom, we saw the usual culprits having the longest wait times. Mine Train averaged 67 minutes, while Jingle Cruise was second most at 55 minutes. On average, most rides at the park came in at a much more manageable 30 minutes or under.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

We’ve got a winner for the longest average wait time in Disney World. While you may have put your money on a newer ride, the longest wait goes to Tower of Terror, which opened 28 years ago!

EPCOT

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure continues to have the highest wait time at EPCOT. This week, it averaged 74 minutes, making it one of the highest wait times in Disney World. Currently, it’s also an Individual Attraction Selection in the park, which means you can pay extra to skip the line.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

With the release of Avatar: The Way of Water, there was a renewed popularity to Pandora at the park (though, let’s be real — that popularity has been there since opening!). Flight of Passage continues to pull long wait times, with an average wait close to an hour and a half. Na’vi River Journey also averaged nearly an hour, with Kilimajaro Safaris averaging 47 minutes.
