Things are heating up in Disney World as summer gets closer and closer, and that likely means you’ll be looking for some ways to cool off.
We get it, we’ve been there ourselves too many times to count, but here’s the thing — even when it’s tempting, we’re telling you now that it is NOT WORTH IT to get in line for this Animal Kingdom ride when it’s above 40 minutes. When it’s 120 minutes like it was yesterday? RUN the other way.

TRON Lightcycle / Run and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure both tied at 80 minute waits later in the day, but we’ve gotta point out that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which just reopened a few weeks ago, was closed for three hours in a row. Could have been worse, for sure, but it’s clear that this ride is still dealing with some issues that may not be solved any time soon.

After being closed for a few hours in the morning, Kali River Rapids absolutely LEAPT up to a 120 minute wait, which is higher than we’ve seen in a hot minute, and ABSOLUTELY not worth it for such a short ride. Even if it’s a hot day, we recommend waiting until it drops. We are slightly concerned to see that Avatar Flight of Passage closed for four hours in a row, but thankfully, it did reopen in just enough time for the very end of the day.
