Popcorn buckets at Disney World have officially crossed the line from snack container to full-blown collectible — and we’re kinda here for it.

If you’re planning a 2026 Disney World vacation, you’re going to see more than a few people walking around the parks with all sorts of Disney-themed buckets slung over their shoulders and situated snuggly in their strollers. Some guests buy them for the novelty — others grab them simply for the refillable popcorn. And plenty of Disney Adults are building entire collections around these things. We fit into all of these categories, so we’ve done our homework on the best popcorn bucket finds and are sharing our results with YOU!
If you’re trying to decide which bucket is worth buying in 2026, here’s a quick guide that should point you in the right direction!
Best for Kids: The Classic Refillable Popcorn Bucket
If you’re visiting with kids, the best popcorn bucket is — honestly — the simple one.

The standard Refillable Popcorn Bucket features a carrying handle and whatever the current design is, and — while Disney releases new designs from time to time — the artwork often features Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, and Chip ‘n Dale. The changing seasons usually bring with them special buckets for Halloween and the holiday season, as well.

This bucket is available across ALL of the parks, is the most affordable option at an initial price of $14.29, and comes with discounted refills of just $2.49 throughout your trip at several popcorn stands around the Walt Disney World Resort. For kids (and families) that care more about what’s inside the bucket rather than the bucket itself, this durable, lightweight, and easy-to-carry souvenir remains the most practical option in 2026.

If you plan on picking up one of these buckets, we recommend grabbing one of these colorful bucket bands on Amazon!

These accessories prevent spills by being stretched around the bucket and securing the lid. Once it’s on, you can clip your popcorn bucket to your bag or anything else without worrying about a mess. To snack, simply lift the band up and grab some popcorn.
Best for Adults: Character Buckets That Double as Souvenirs
If you want something a little more fun than the standard bucket, Disney has some great themed PREMIUM options around the parks in 2026 that range from$22 to $30! These buckets also include the $2.49 refill.

One of the most eye-catching right now is the Scar Popcorn Bucket for over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It features Scar’s iconic villain expression and even includes light-up eyes! You can find the Scar Popcorn Bucket at Mahindi in Africa, The Feeding Ground in Discovery Island, Chakranadi in Asia
and Trek Snacks in Asia.
Check out the Ed Sipper while you’re at it!

Also found in Animal Kingdom is the Zootopia Popcorn Bucket featuring Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps! This cool vehicle-themed bucket can be found at various popcorn carts throughout the park for $28 (plus tax).

Over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Monsters, Inc. Scream Canister Popcorn Bucket costs $28 (plus tax) and lights up! You can see how many screams are in the container and even hear them! We grabbed ours from a popcorn cart on the corner of Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard, and we also noticed that they are at other popcorn carts, as well.

These options change frequently and can feature shapes based on rides, fun characters, and all sorts of Disney Easter eggs. They are usually seasonal or designed to celebrate a current Disney film, attraction, or an event in the parks — ensuring that they are a specialty, limited-release item.

As such, these Premium Buckets are considered highly collectible, so if you think you might want one — don’t wait. They sell out FAST.
Best for Collectors: Festival and Limited-Time Buckets
Collectors will want to grab all the buckets (and similar future ones) listed above, but they should also have their eyes on the offerings that pop up during Disney festivals and seasonal events.

The biggest example in 2026? A new Figment Popcorn Bucket was released during the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts and drew TONS of demand — since these special buckets are available ONLY during the festival’s limited run.

Buckets like this Figment one, as well as buckets that are themed after parties — like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom — tend to become instant collector pieces.

Collectors will need to keep an eye out for holiday popcorn buckets, festival exclusives, limited-time character releases, and special artist collaborations year-round.

Speaking of artists, 2026 also introduced a new standard bucket designed by Jerrod Maruyama. We briefly touched on this bucket, but this specific design features artwork of park icons like Spaceship Earth, Cinderella Castle, the Hollywood Tower of Terror, and the Tree of Life.

Ultimately, the biggest tip we can give you is to buy early. If you see one you like, buy it immediately. These buckets are highly sought after years after they debut — and for good reason! These adorable collectibles are just so addicting!
