We’re in Disney World every day, and that means we’re very familiar with which Disney World rides often have the highest wait times most frequently.
That also means that when something is off or different, we notice it pretty quickly. It’s no secret that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is one of the most popular areas of not only Hollywood Studios, but Disney World as a whole, but it’s not usually where we see the highest wait times. Yesterday, though, we were shocked to see that one Galaxy’s Edge ride was tied with Flight of Passage, which is normally one of the highest waits in the whole park, but it’s NOT the one you’re expecting!
Let’s take a look at wait times from January 19th, 2026!
Magic Kingdom
To our complete and utter surprise, the longest wait time for TRON Lightcycle / Run was in the FIRST hour of the park day, when it was at 80 minutes! It got close towards the end of the day, hitting 75 minutes, but we’ve gotta admit that this is the first time we’ve seen it this high in the morning. The park had its fair share of ride closure issues, but they all were short-lived, not lasting longer than 1-2 hours each.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind hit a 120-minute wait just two hours before park close, but we were happy to see that there were only three ride closures throughout the whole day! Frozen Ever After and The Seas with Nemo and Friends were both closed the first hour of the day, and Journey into Imagination was closed for the final hour, but overall, the park had a good day!

Continuing with the recent trend we’ve seen of lots of people treating Animal Kingdom like a half-day park again, Avatar Flight of Passage hit its highest wait of 130 minutes right at 11 AM, before a lot of people chose to park hop to another location. This could mean that instead of rope dropping, some people are choosing to make this their final ride in the park before going elsewhere — it’s certainly an interesting trend, so we’ll keep an eye on it.
