Disney World is reaching the end of its summer vacation season, as kids are getting ready to go back to school!
With that, we’ve been expecting to see wait times start to diminish a little bit, but as it turns out, Disney World seems to be a little mad that the crowds may be leaving! And by that, we mean that multiple rides had closure issues, including one popular attraction that closed for SEVEN hours straight.
Magic Kingdom
TRON Lightcycle / Run only hit a high of 70 minutes, which is pretty great for this ride, but we have a feeling it’s because many kids are getting ready to go back to school next week. A few rides had some pretty intense issues at the beginning of the day, but thankfully, they all evened out by the fourth hour of the park hour.

Test Track hit a 115-minute wait, which is about what we were expecting since the ride is so new! What we didn’t expect was seeing Journey Into Imagination, Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, AND Spaceship Earth all have troubles during the day. Test Track especially had issues towards the end of the day, so you’ll want to be careful if you plan to wait until the end of the day to ride in an attempt to get lower wait times!

Flight of Passage hit an 80-minute wait, which is pretty high for this time of year, but what was more interesting was how many issues Expedition Everest had! Rain affected both Everest and Kali River Rapids later in the day due to storms, but Expedition Everest was closed for five straight hours before storms impacted it, closing it for the remaining two hours as well.

However, not as wild as seeing that Rise of the Resistance, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Slinky Dog Dash all had issues throughout the day. It wasn’t a great day for the park, but it also wasn’t as bad as it could be, so we’ll take what we can get!
