July 24th was a BIG day for Disney World. The future of theme park planning is CHANGED thanks to a new skip-the-line service called Lightning Lane Multi Pass. This system replaced Genie+ and lets you pay to enter Disney’s shorter queues and preplan your day by booking reservations ahead of time.
We’ve been running all kinds of tests and experiments with the new system to see what kind of NEW ride strategies you should use. Clearly, the system is still very new, but our reporters have already learned a LOT! But with all this talk about the express lane, a.k.a. the Lightning Lane, have we forgotten about the good old (FREE) standby line?
If you aren’t interested in paying extra to skip the lines in Disney World, you can still use the classic standby line. In fact, using the standby line is a great way to get in a few more rides while you’re waiting for your next Lighting Lane reservation.
