Price Increase and CHANGES Revealed for Popular Disney World Essential

…a portable phone charger! From taking pictures to using the My Disney Experience app to checking the weather, you’ll be on your phone quite a bit during your vacation. And if you want to stay charged the whole time, there’s one portable charger that’s a fan-favorite among our team!

All around Disney World, you’ll find FuelRod stations that sell portable chargers. At each stand, you can purchase a charger that comes with several different cords for a variety of devices.

The really great thing about using FuelRods in Disney World is that once you use up the battery, you can simply find another FuelRod station and swap your charger out for a fully-charged version…for FREE. Since we’re in the parks all the time, the investment has definitely paid for itself over time!

During a recent visit to EPCOT, we noticed a CHANGE with a FuelRod station, though. The FuelRod stand inside The Seas Pavilion was recently updated, and now it’s charging $38 per FuelRod, instead of the previous price of $30. The Disney World website has been updated to confirm this new price.

Why the change in price? Because there’s a NEW FuelRod design that comes along with it!

The new version still comes with all the cords and accessories you need, but now it has indicator lights on top to tell you how much charge is left in the device. That’s so handy!

These new FuelRods will still work with a variety of devices, from phones to cameras, so look out for the kiosks around the parks if you’re in need of a charge!
