Yesterday was a very special day in Disney World, at least for fans of a galaxy far, far away.
Yesterday was May the 4th, aka Star Wars Day, meaning a lot of people were visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. As a result, though, wait times in that park were high. But which park is having the LOWEST wait times right now? Well, the answer might surprise you.
Overall, right now in Disney World, the park with the lowest wait times (insert drum roll here) is….Magic Kingdom! That might seem odd being how popular Magic Kingdom is, especially with TRON Lightcycle / Run just opening there recently, but there are a few good reasons that Magic Kingdom might ALWAYS generally be the park with the lowest wait times.
Magic Kingdom has a total of 24 rides, meaning that guests are generally spread out among those 24 attractions at any given time. In comparison, EPCOT only has 11 rides, while Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom only have nine rides each. Does that make a difference with wait times? We think so.
Some rides at Magic Kingdom will always have notoriously long wait times, like Peter Pan’s Flight and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, but right now, we’ve seen pretty low wait times for both those rides, depending on the time of day.
