This Popular Magic Kingdom Ride Was STRUGGLING in Disney World Yesterday

You’ve spent months planning the perfect Disney World trip, setting your budget, picking the perfect hotel, and arranging transportation. Now you’re here and you’re ready to hit the parks.

Maybe you have a ride or two that you just can’t WAIT to ride for the first time (or to ride again). Let’s say you get to the park and you find out that ride is closed. Well, it does happen, and it happened yesterday with a popular ride in Magic Kingdom.​

Yesterday, in Magic Kingdom, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was closed for two hours in a row. It then closed for another hour later. The good news is that when a ride closes like this, it usually does reopen fairly quickly. You’ll just want to make sure you to keep on top of its status in the My Disney Experience app.

If you have a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and it closes during your return window, you’ll get an Experience Redemption pass so you can ride it after it reopens. If, for some reason, the ride does not reopen, you can go to Guest Services to get a refund: note, you HAVE to go to Guest Services to get the refund as it isn’t automatic.
