YIKES — Pirates of the Caribbean, Are You Doing Okay?

We see a lot of things in Disney World, including ride wait times and closures.

Some rides often have a LOT of closures, but there’s been one in particular that seems to be struggling almost every single day. Now we’re not saying that Disney should close this ride and give it a much-needed refurb…but okay, well, Disney should consider it.

A ride we’ve been concerned about for the past few months or so is Pirates of the Caribbean in Magic Kingdom. We’ve seen far too many mornings when Pirates is down for HOURS, only to reopen later, but then go down again. In fact, Pirates of the Caribbean had the most ride closures in ALL of Disney World in August: it was closed 56 times in 27 days.

Well, poor Pirates of the Caribbean is still struggling. Yesterday, September 20th, Pirates was closed when Magic Kingdom opened (this is becoming an all-too-common occurrence) and it remained closed until noon! Then it closed again at 6PM and remained closed the rest of the day. That only gave guests a short window of five hours to ride it.
