Wait Times Were DOWN at Disney World Last Week (And We Loved It!)

When you’re planning a trip to Disney World, it’s a good idea to check on the latest wait time trends so you know what to expect.

We study the average ride wait times in Disney World and report on all the current trends! That way, you can be prepared for your next vacation.  So, now that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind have been on standard queues for a full operational week, what did the average ride waits look like at Disney World? Should we be worried or relieved? Let’s find out!

Last week, we saw shorter wait times than we usually see for many rides — it was relatively slow at the parks! One of our reporters was able to ride Living with the Land in EPCOT as a walk-on 4 times in a row on Friday!

Bad news, though, we don’t expect these wait times to last! Spring Breaks season starts in earnest this week. Let’s take a look at this past week’s average wait times.

Magic Kingdom

Below is the average weekly wait time for each ride, from shortest to longest wait time.

• Carousel of Progress:  5 minutes
• Tom Sawyer Island: 5 minutes
• Liberty Square Riverboat:  6 minutes
• Enchanted Tiki Room: 6 minutes
• Country Bear Musical Jamboree: 9 minutes
• Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover: 11 minutes
• Prince Charming Regal Carousel: 12 minutes
• Mad Tea Party: 13 minutes
• Tomorrowland Speedway: 14 minutes
• Mickey’s PhilharMagic: 14 minutes
• Magic Carpets of Aladdin: 18 minutes
• it’s a small world: 19 minutes
• Dumbo the Flying Elephant: 20 minutes
• Pirates of the Caribbean: 20 minutes
• Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini: 21 minutes
• Enchanted Tales with Belle: 27 minutes
• Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin:  28 minutes
• Haunted Mansion: 30 minutes
• Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: 31 minutes

This week at the Magic Kingdom, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure continued to settle into having a standby queue, holding on to the third busiest spot on the average wait times rankings.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

• Walt Disney Presents: 0 minutes
• Muppet*Vision 3D: 10 minutes
• Star Tours: 12 Minutes
• Alien Swirling Saucers: 29 minutes
• Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run: 39 minutes
• Toy Story Mania: 49 minutes
• Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway: 49 minutes
• Twilight Zone Tower of Terror: 59 minutes
• Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith: 56 minutes
• Rise of the Resistance: 68 minutes
• Slinky Dog Dash: 74 minutes

Over in Hollywood Studios, Slinky Dog Dash  took back the title of busiest ride at the park, beating out Rise of the Resistance.

EPCOT

  • Living with the Land: 12 minutes
  • Turtle Talk with Crush: 16  minutes
  • Mission: SPACE: 16 minutes
  • Spaceship Earth: 14 minutes
  • The Seas with Nemo and Friends: 20 minutes

  • Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure: 57 minutes 
  • Frozen Ever After: 58 minutes
  • Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind: 77 minutes

EPCOT was dominated by Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind this week, as the ride’s new standby queue was by far the park’s busiest.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

• The Boneyard: 0 minutes
• It’s Tough to Be a Bug: 11 minutes 
• Dinosaur: 24 minutes
• Expedition Everest: 31 minutes
• Kilimanjaro Safaris: 47 minutes
• Na’vi River Journey: 55 minutes
• Avatar Flight of Passage: 77 minutes

Flight of Passage dominated Animal Kingdom’s wait times this week, with a 22 minute lead over its closest competition.
