This Is the WORST Time To Go to Disney World in December

We may not have a crystal ball, but we are pretty good at reading the signs in Disney World. We know how to spot crowd trends. We know what it means when the Tower of Terror attraction reports a 13-minute wait. We’re Disney experts, after all!

We study the Disney World wait times every day, so while we can’t tell you exactly what the crowds will look like in December, we can look at the current wait times to give us a clue.  

Between the months of November and December, the crowd levels in Disney World can fluctuate quite a bit. The parks get pretty crowded around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. But for the rest of December? Well, the wait times look pretty similar to the times listed in early November!

In fact, we can look at the wait times on November 16th to get an idea of what the parks will look like in early December. Magic Kingdom reported some high wait times, which leads us to believe that most (or all) of December will be crowded this year. Here’s a full look at the wait times on November 16th, 2024.
