What’s The BEST Time to Ride Disney’s Flight of Passage? Well, It’s A Little Complicated

You know, it seems that every time we find a pattern with Disney World attractions, they like to switch it up on us.

We track Disney World rides and their wait times to help you plan your trips and find the best (and sometimes worst) times to ride certain attractions, because who wants to wait in line longer than you have to? Not us, that’s for sure! On some rides, we can make an educated guess when they’ll have higher or lower wait times throughout the day. There’s one ride in Animal Kingdom that seems INTENT on mixing it up on us every day, so we recommend planning ahead for its temperament.

Magic Kingdom

All of the following wait times are from December 15th, right smack dab in the middle of the holiday season, which is why we’re not surprised to see TRON Lightcycle / Run hit a 105-minute wait towards the end of the day. It seems that people definitely get in line to ride when the sun goes down and those lights come up! Fortunately, the park didn’t struggle nearly as much with ride closures as it has in past days, though Space Mountain and the PeopleMover did go down the final hour of the day.

Surprisingly, EPCOT didn’t struggle with ANY ride closures, with the exception of The Seas with Nemo and Friends in the first hour of the day. This was also when Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind had the highest wait of the day at 95 minutes, and while we’ve often seen Test Track come out on top, it seems that having no closures throughout the day kept wait times pretty average.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Flight of Passage had its highest wait of the day, 80 minutes, during the second hour of the park day, which is the first time in a while we’ve seen it at the START of the day instead of in the middle. Finding the best time to ride this attraction continues to be a bit of a mystery, as it fluctuates practically every day. In recent days, we’ve seen the longest wait time hit around 12-2PM, indicating that guests are potentially making it their last ride before park hopping, or their first ride when they arrive in the park AFTER park hopping from another. Since it hit in the beginning of the day this time around, it indicates that guests chose to rope drop instead, which isn’t always the case. Since it changes so frequently, that’s why we’re here keeping an eye out for you!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Tower of Terror started acting up pretty intensely, hitting a whopping 105-minute wait (our assumption is half of the ride was down, as it dropped to 40 minutes the next hour). When it came to ride closures, Slinky Dog Dash closed twice, and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway went down once, but the park was smooth sailing otherwise.
