Thanks to Central Florida’s humid subtropical climate and Disney’s affinity for water rides, a day at Disney World can leave you drenched. Essentials like ponchos certainly help, but sometimes your lower half can get neglected, leaving you with soggy shorts, pants, and shoes. That’s where this different kind of poncho set can help!
The Geyoga Eight-Piece Disposable Rain Pants Set comes with shoe boots and is available on Amazon in a few different colors. You can grab ’em in small and large sizes.
This eight-pack of clear poncho pants is made of pretty thin plastic, and the legs are sealed closed. However, if you want to cut and shorten them, this is something you’ll want to do before you travel. These pants are meant to be worn over shoes, but they do erode naturally with each step, so if you’re taking a long vacation, that’s something to keep in mind.
We’ve played around with our poncho pants a bit to get the right fit, and we also noticed that condensation and fog started to appear inside them. Not ideal.
That said, these poncho pants DO keep your legs dry from rainwater and water rides. Are they worth wearing in a rainstorm? Probably not. We’d recommend just your standard poncho; we like the FROGG TOGGS option.
But could these be worth throwing on for a few minutes before riding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure or Kali River Rapids — totally! I mean, anything to keep me from looking like I peed my pants for an hour, right?!
Ultimately, we recommend altering these ahead of time. These would be an absolute mess to throw into a park bag and figure out later. If you’re interested in poncho pants, pick up a pair for yourself and send us your best tips!
