Ride closures are pretty normal in Disney World. Considering there are dozens of attractions running for over 10 hours each day across the whole resort, things are bound to happen.
However, it’s not often we see one singular ride close for hours on end, but that’s exactly what happened to MULTIPLE rides in EPCOT yesterday. If you were trying to ride them in the park yesterday, we apologize for the frustration you dealt with.
Let’s take a look at wait times from January 25th, 2026.
Magic Kingdom
Yesterday was a perfect example of why you shouldn’t wait until the very END of a day to ride your favorite attraction. While TRON Lightcycle / Run hit its highest wait time of 95 minutes near the end of the park day, it was actually CLOSED the final hour, meaning that anyone who waited until the last minute to ride was out of luck.

EPCOT had an EXTREMELY rough day when it came to ride closures. Spaceship Earth was closed for six hours straight, Living with the Land was closed for three hours, and Frozen Ever After, Gran Fiesta Tour, Journey into Imagination, and Test Track all had closure issues as well. Ultimately, the highest wait time went to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at 130 minutes, right in the middle of the day when there were three ride closures going on.
