These Disney World Crowds Mean One Thing — Yep, It's Definitely Christmas Week

It’s officially Christmas week, and the Disney World parks are HOPPING!

The holidays in Disney World are pretty wild!

If you’re trying to avoid Christmas crowds, we’re sorry to tell you that it’s nearly impossible in the parks right now, but there’s one park in particular that’s showing us some extra high wait times. It may not be the one you expect, though!

Let’s take a look at wait times for December 21st, 2025.

Magic Kingdom

TRON Lightcycle / Run had the highest wait time of 85 minutes, but Seven Dwarfs Mine Train wasn’t far behind with a 75-minute wait around the middle of the day! However, Pirates of the Caribbean had a ROUGH day, closing three separate times, and Carousel of Progress and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh each closed during the day as well. Could have been worse, could have been better, but we’re hoping these rides continue to operate well throughout this week.

EPCOT

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind had the highest wait time of 110 minutes right at noon, and fortunately, the only ride closure was Living with the Land at the very beginning of the day and Frozen Ever After at the very end. That means Test Track had another day with NO closures, which is a huge win — let’s keep that energy up!

Avatar Flight of Passage LEAPT up to a 140-minute wait time at 1 PM, which is the highest we’ve seen it in a while! Kali River Rapids had a bit of a fit again, though, again, it just came out of a refurbishment. As we’re in the middle of the cold season, it’s not the most popular ride right now, but it’s still never great for rides to have issues like this time and time again.

Wait times were HIGH in Hollywood Studios overall, that’s for sure — Slinky Dog Dash had a 150-minute wait a few hours into the park day, and wait times overall were easily over an hour for multiple attractions. However, Slinky Dog Dash was also closed for the first two hours of the day, likely contributing to that high wait, and Toy Story Mania closed for three hours throughout the day as well.
