REVIEW: We Need These New Chicken Guy Menu Items YEAR ROUND in Disney World

It’s rare that Chicken Guy! in Disney Springs lets us down, and every time we head back there to try new eats, we hope it won’t be the day it disappoints us.

New eats? Count us in!

We know the restaurant isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but if you’re looking for some darn good chicken dishes with some great sauces to try out, this is a fantastic spot to check out. Recently, the restaurant added two limited-time menu offerings, and we’ve gotta say that while we were a little skeptical at first, we’d absolutely get them both again!

To drink, we snagged the Apple Pie Crumble Shake for $7.99, which is vanilla soft serve blended with cinnamon-sugar apples, oatmeal cookie crumble & a swirl of caramel.

Apple Pie Crumble Shake

This was super solid! The shake wasn’t too thick and was very easy to drink, and we loved that the cinnamon and apple flavors come through really well, making it really taste like an apple pie. The oatmeal cookie crumble was nice too, adding a little bit of crunch, though we would have liked a little more. The caramel flavor also comes through, blending in well with the apple, so overall, we were very impressed.

We’d totally get it again!

To eat, we grabbed the Southern Smokehouse Crunch for $9.99, which is crispy fried tenders with bacon, cheddar & pimento cheese, drizzled in honey BBQ & finished with pickles.

Southern Smokehouse Crunch

This was a simple, classic chicken sandwich, with a few upgrades to make it more interesting. The bacon was crunchy in some parts and chewy in others, and the pimento cheese did add a really nice creaminess. The sauce is quite sweet, but not overly so, and while the pickles added a nice snap and sourness, most of the texture comes from the crunchy chicken which was cooked perfectly. This was also plenty big for the price, so we count it as a great deal!

Another winner!

Again, these are only around for a limited time during the summer season, so we recommend snagging them sooner rather than later so you don’t miss out!
