REVIEW: We Tried 2 NEW Brunch Dishes in Disney Springs

One of the places with the most unique theming in Disney Springs is none other than The Edison, which has a really neat steampunk-esque vibe that’s hard to find elsewhere on property.

It’s time for brunch at The Edison!

While many people head here for lunch and dinner, did you know there’s also brunch available? We decided to head over to try out two of the new menu offerings, and we’ll admit — we expected for ONE of them to blow our minds, and it did, but it wasn’t the one we were expecting!

First up are the Churrafles for $15, which are cinnamon-sugar, fried waffles, vanilla cream, dulce de leche.

Churrafles

While we were really looking forward to these, because they combine two of our loves, churros and waffles, they kinda missed the mark. We didn’t enjoy the touch texture, which made it difficult to cut through, and while it did taste like churros, it was on the artificial side, which really surprised us. The maple button on top added a nice flavor, but it was fairly thick to spread on the waffles. It wasn’t quite what we were expecting, and we might opt for a different dish next time.

With maple butter on top

We also snagged the Sticky Monkey Bread for $16, which is house-made apple-cinnamon brioche pull-apart, toffee caramel.

Sticky Monkey Bread

This was dense and fluffy in the best way, and we enjoyed it much more than we actually thought we would. The caramel sauce wasn’t too sweet and soaked really nicely into the bread. We couldn’t really taste the apple part of the apple cinnamon, but overall this was good! However, it doesn’t pull-apart on its own, so you will need to use a knife and fork.

We’d totally get this again!

If anything, we expected this to be the opposite — we expected to like the Churrafles way more than the Sticky Monkey Bread, but here we are! Do we think these are worth a special trip over? Maybe not, but if you were already planning on grabbing brunch here, this may be an option to think about ordering.
