Hold Up! Are Sundays the Best Time To Visit Magic Kingdom?

Sundays are typically just like the rest of the weekend days in Disney World — BUSY!

However, when looking at wait times for yesterday, we were shocked to find that the wait times for Disney World’s most POPULAR park were WAY lower than we thought they would be, while the least popular park had the highest wait times. Could this be the new best day to visit ​Magic Kingdom and the WORST day to visit Animal Kingdom?

Let’s take a look at the wait times for Sunday, September 7th, 2025, at Disney World.

Magic Kingdom

To our surprise, the highest wait time of the day was Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at only 60 minutes! While Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Under The Sea, and The Barnstormer had some closure trouble at the beginning of the day, they evened out quickly, and Magic Kingdom overall had a REALLY great day! Could Sundays be the best time to visit Magic Kingdom at this time of year?

Test Track hit a 95-minute wait, but fortunately, it didn’t stay that high for the majority of the day. Gran Fiesta Tour, Cosmic Rewind, and Living With The Land all had closures for one hour, but again, this park also had a pretty solid day overall.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Flight of Passage hit an 80 minute wait, which is higher than we expected to see it at this time of year, but when we noticed that wait times started going down in the second half of the day, we think we understood what was happening — it’s possible people spent the last half day of their vacation at Animal Kingdom in the morning, then left for the airport/drove back home around the middle of the day. We don’t think Animal Kingdom is a half-day park, but a lot of people do, so visiting in the second half of any day is almost the best way to go if you want shorter wait times.
