Are These Ride Wait Times The Calm Before The Storm?

So, we keep an eye on ride wait times in Disney World every single day.

This week, we’ve noticed something interesting: ride wait times haven’t been that high recently. Sure, you’ll still wait a while in standby lines for some of the more popular rides, but that’s about all we’re seeing. However, we think this could be the calm before the big holiday weekend.​

Yes, this week has been pretty relaxed in Disney World, but we expect that to change very soon. This weekend marks Memorial Day weekend and we expect to see a lot of folks in the parks from Friday through Monday. In addition, this weekend is also when the Disney Memorial Day Soccer Tournament happens at ESPN Wide World of Sports

So how can you prepare for crowds if you visit this weekend? You’ll want to be patient. You’ll probably also want to consider purchasing Genie+ to bypass those long standby lines and use the shorter Lightning Lanes. You may even want to buy the Individual Lightning Lane options for those rides that have it (if they’re a priority).
