This Might Be THE Disney World Park to Visit Right Now

When you think about Disney World wait times and what park might have the LOWEST wait times, what comes to mind?

Wait times at the parks can fluctuate a lot. In the past, we’ve taken a look at some tips that could help you get on super popular rides in less time, a look at rides that have had surprisingly long wait times, and even details about some ride MISTAKES you might be making. But now we’re looking at one park with wait times that might shock you…in a good way!

On May 23rd, 2023, EPCOT had some shocking wait times. 😯 Allow us to explain.

At 10AM (park open for regular guests), ALL wait times were 20 minutes or less, with the exception of Frozen Ever After (50 minutes) and Test Track (60 minutes). This lower wait times trend actually continued throughout much of the day.

By 12PM, the only rides with wait times longer than 30 minutes were Frozen Ever After (55 minutes) and Test Track (80 minutes). At 3PM it was basically the same. Soarin’ had a 20 minute(!!!) wait at that time, while Test Track was at 50 minutes, Frozen Ever After was at 55 minutes, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure was at 70 minutes.

At 6PM, things were still looking good with only Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Frozen Ever After having wait times over 30 minutes. And at 9PM, NO RIDE had a wait time above 35 minutes.

There were some temporary ride closures at certain parts throughout the day, but overall things at EPCOT were shockingly…relaxed? No ride had a wait time above 85 minutes and oftentimes many attractions had waits of 30 minutes or less — not bad!

Of course, there are a number of things that could have led to this. May 23rd was a Tuesday, so middle-of-the-week trips can be less crowded than those taken on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. On top of that, we are in a slightly slower period at the moment just before the Memorial Day holiday hits and more schools release for the summer.

Still, it was a pretty shockingly slow day at this popular park. Add on the fact that the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is going on right now, and you might have a few very compelling reasons to visit EPCOT these days!
