Spring break is in full swing in Disney World, but we’ll be the first to admit that things are exactly going as we expected.
We thought Magic Kingdom would be the park with the highest overall wait times, but that hasn’t been the case. Not only that, there are a few rides that aren’t spiking as high as we thought, but one thing is for sure — we KNOW the temperature is beginning to spike in the park, because people are waiting over an hour and a half in line for this mid attraction.
Let’s take a look at wait times from Saturday, March 28th!
Magic Kingdom
TRON Lightcycle / Run hit a 105 minute wait an hour before the park closed, and listen, we know we’ve said it a lot this week, but we’re seriously not seeing NEARLY as long of lines as we were expecting to see during this time of year, especially on weekends. It helps that only a few rides had issues with closures, including Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which seems to have issues a lot of mornings. All in all, Magic Kingdom isn’t a bad park to be in right now!

Unfortunately, EPCOT didn’t have a great day yesterday when it came to ride closures. Test Track had the highest wait of 130 minutes while Cosmic Rewind was down, and the ride remained closed for the last five hours of the park day. Spaceship Earth and Journey into Imagination also had a few issues throughout the day, but they definitely weren’t as intense as Cosmic Rewind’s. It just goes to show, if there’s a ride you REALLY want to get to in the park, it’s best to prioritize it, because you never know if it’ll close for a lengthy unplanned closure.

It’s no surprise that Avatar Flight of Passage had the highest wait time at 115 minutes, nor that it was in the late morning at 11 AM. What was surprising, though, was seeing Kali River Rapids hit a 100 minute wait! We know it’s getting warmer when this starts to happen, so if you’re looking to cool off, just be prepared to wait a while.
