The Ride You Need to AVOID Right Now in Disney World

Each spring in Disney World, there are a few weeks of the year that get EXTRA crowded, and that’s often due to the fact that multiple schools across the United States have their spring breaks at slightly different times in March and April.

We’re in that section of time right now, but we’re not exactly seeing wait times behaving how we expected. EPCOT is the only park without major construction walls right now, and wait times are reflecting that, but there’s one attraction that has a VERY high wait time. The catch? It may have nothing to do with spring break!

Magic Kingdom

TRON Lightcycle / Run hit a 90 minute wait right at the end of the park day, and while that’s not unexpected during a normal time of year, we’re VERY impressed that it’s staying that low during spreak break season! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure wasn’t that far behind, also hitting an 85 minute wait, which isn’t surprising since it’s hot, AND the ride was closed for the first two hours of the day.

We found the crowds — yeah, they’re ALL in EPCOT, because Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind hit a 170 minute wait TWICE during the day! Soarin’ has also remained much higher than normal, but we’ve spoken to Cast Members who have told us this is often because the ride is running at half capacity due to testing. Exciting? Absolutely, but during spring break when wait times are already high, ESPECIALLY in the only park without major construction? Yeah, things might be rough here for a while.
